David Hoflin
Played: Oliver Barnes
Appeared: 2007-2008
Born 25th February 1979 in Stockholm, Sweden, David's family moved to Australia when he was 4 years old.
He was interested in acting from an early age and made his first onscreen appearance aged 9 in the critically acclaimed Australian movie, A Cry in the Dark. David played the son of screen legend, Meryl Streep's character.
Roles followed in a number of smaller features such as Breakaway and series such as Law of the Land and Good Vibrations. However, his breakthrough role was in the hit show, Ocean Girl, which ran for 4 seasons between 1994 and 1998.
In the following years he starred in the movie Swimming Upstream and continued to guest star in notable Australian television series, such as All Saints, Blue Heelers and McLeod's Daughters.
In late 2006, David joined the cast of Neighbours, following the sudden departure of Christian Clark after 12 weeks of filming. Christian's character, Will, was written out of the show and David arrived playing the role of his brother, Oliver Barnes. During his time on Neighbours, David found romance with co-star Natalie Blair (Carmella) and the pair were still dating when he quit the role of Oliver in early 2008, filming his final scenes in May of that year. Following his departure, David spent time travelling in Europe.
