Everyone’s talking about Ramsay Street’s newest neighbour… Bruce Samazan
Yep, Brucie moves into Ramsay Street this month. But don’t expect him to be acting like his old alter-ego, Westside’s bumbling Constable Max. He’s positively rejoicing in the fact Max and his new character, Mark, have absolutely nothing in common!
“It’s a good opportunity to show people Bruce can play a tough guy instead of a pushover!” he told TV Soap. “After three-and-a-half years Max was starting to, er, well, not get boring, but, well, there were going to have to be some drastic changes to keep him interesting!”
Bruce is playing Stephen’s (Lochie Daddo) worldly big brother. Mark’s a chef who’s been around the world, a confident type who’s popular with the girlies. To put it mildly, he’s not exactly the sweet, well-meaning Bruce we’re used to. Anyway, Mark’s none too popular with his little brother. Seems they had a falling out before Mark nicked off overseas. He comes back to smooth things over but his arrival at Ramsay Street shakes things up a bit.
In Bruce’s words, the character’s a “bit of a pain”. He said: “Stephen’s not too keen o rectify the relationship with his brother. Mark’s what you’d call the flirty-tirty type… I understand there are a few love triangles happening at Ramsay Street and Mark comes in and rocks the boat.”
So, looks like these rumours about a screen fling with Neighbours cutie, Natalie Imbruglia, could be true, eh Bruce? “What! That’s the first I’ve heard of that! But who knows. I still haven’t got my script yet…”
