Harold receives a huge shock when Gabrielle Walker applies for a job at the store and is the spitting image of his late daughter, Kerry. Harold becomes confused as he tries to get to know the woman, while David insists that she is sacked
Boyd is mistakenly diagnosed with schizophrenia as he starts to believe that his dead mother is alive. He leaves hospital and collapses, and a second diagnosis reveals a brain tumour. Following an emergency operation, he lies in a coma
Stu has a successful eye operation, but his dramas continue when Sindi starts acting oddly around some old school friends, and one of them tells Stu that Sindi is not to be trusted
Paul goes to great lengths to help Affirmacon buy up Ramsay Street and build a mall on the land, even faking an environmental report which shows that the street will be underwater soon due to a rising water table
Paul also manages to wreck the Bishops’ marriage, by setting up David and making it look like he attempted to defraud The Helen Daniels Trust. David is arrested, leaving Lil confused about her feelings
Dylan’s former ally, Roo, from Colac, is released from prison and turns up, hoping that Dylan will help him to commit armed robbery at the Scarlet Bar. At the last minute, and on Paul’s advice, Dylan shops Roo to the police

The tragic death of a much-loved neighbour and the arrival of a brand new family…
Madge and Harold’s plans for a final trip to Paris are thwarted when Madge falls over at home and cuts herself, quickly developing an infection which her body cannot fight. She dies at home, a week later, surrounded by Harold, Paul and Tad.
Following Madge’s funeral, Paul and Harold decide to take the trip to Paris, as it was Madge’s final wish they Harold still go
Number 32 is sold, leaving Tess and Dee homeless. As it looks like Flick and Joel will be getting their own place, Dee agrees to move into number 30, but when Joel and Flick then split up, Dee is concerned about having to live with her ex
Tess finds a new house and a new housemate – Ronnie Anderson. Ronnie meets Drew when she has car trouble and quickly develops an obsession with him
Lyn and Joe are worried when their son, Jack, goes missing from soccer training in England, but they’re surprised when he arrives in Erinsborough and announces that he’s given up on his career
Steph’s boyfriend, Woody, is released from prison and comes to stay with the Scullys, but it looks like a bad idea as the family become the target of a hate campaign
Tad convinces Jess to drop the allegations against Susan, and the young couple split up when she starts dropping hints about them moving in together
Matt’s father, teacher Evan, buys number 32 and moves in along with his wife, law student and Matt’s stepmother, Maggie, and their two children, Leo and Emily

Debbie makes a sudden return from New York, but is cagey about the reasons for her reappearance, until Rosemary’s PA, and boyfriend, Joel, arrives. It is revealed that Joel and Debbie had a brief affair
Danni returns from Sydney and shocks everyone by revealing that she’s engaged to fashion designer Ben Dalziel. Although Danni is happy, it seems that Ben may be hiding a sinister side
Tom Kennedy arrives and breaks the news to Karl that he isn’t his natural father
Whilst protesting about the sexist gym where she works as an aerobics instructor, Jo gets the sack but is then offered a job as a personal trainer by wealthy Rob Evans
New teacher Andrew Watson faces gossip at school when it’s revealed that he’s gay, and Billy is shocked by the homophobic attitude of his girlfriend, Melissa, and turns to George after splitting up with Mel
As he trains to get into the police academy, Luke undergoes a physical exam and is shocked when the results show that he is suffering from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a form of cancer. He decides to keep the information from his friends as he undergoes treatment
