• Gay teacher Andrew Watson finds himself victimised by a student who pelts eggs at him and sends him anonymous threatening letters. However, it is revealed that the threats are from Rupert Sprod, who felt that he was being unfairly treated by the teacher and were actually unconnected to his sexuality

• After being sacked from the gym for protesting about their sexist ways, Jo throws herself into her new job as a personal trainer for wealthy Rob Evans. Although Marlene is unhappy about the age difference, a romance blossoms and before long, the pair are engaged

• Luke meets Charlie Moyes, a young cancer sufferer, who spurs him on to receive treatment and beat the disease. Meanwhile, Danni finds out about her friend’s illness and offers him her full support

• Catherine returns from visiting her parents and Stonie goes all out to impress her by pretending to be interested in the same environmental causes as her

• Cheryl hears that Brett has been arrested for drug smuggling in South America and heads out there to clear his name, but a few days later, word comes through that she’s been kidnapped and is being held hostage by a Guerilla group
