One Year Ago - May 2005

Secrets from the past threatened more than one relationship…

 

• Harold finally realises that having Gabby around is not healthy, as Sky becomes obsessed with the woman who so strongly resembles her mum. Harold then gives Gabby the money to go and be reunited with her father in Darwin

David escapes going to prison for fraud on a technicality, and vows to get back at Paul Robinson for destroying his family

Paul and Liljana begin a relationship in secret after she walks out on David, and Paul starts to feel guilty about his plans to bulldoze Ramsay Street as he remembers all of the good times he had there, and then Dylan is exposed to toxic waste, dumped by Paul

Max and Izzy’s father, Bobby, arrives in Erinsborough and immediately causes tension as Max doesn’t trust him. He also manages to spend nights out with Janelle, Lyn and Susan, with none of the women realising that he’s stringing them along

Janae fights with boyfriend Mike at a party and ends up being drugged by Chris Cousens, who almost manages to take her home until her siblings turn up and rescue her

Both Boyd and Sky, and Serena and Stingray, face problems when it’s revealed that not only did Boyd and Serena have a secret relationship, but Sky kissed Dylan while Boyd was unwell. Boyd and Sky decide to split up

As Stuart becomes more suspicious of Sindi’s past, and she begins to worry about the accidents that seem to be constantly happening around her, she arranges a session with a hypnotherapist and is alarmed when it uncovers a disturbing repressed memory

Serena struggles to cope with her parents’ split and pretends to be going off the rails in order to get some attention from her mother

 

Five Years Ago - May 2001

There were some important decisions to be made for many of the Ramsay Street residents…

• After a few weeks at home, Jack realises that he can’t give up on his promising career as a soccer player and he returns to England

Ronnie’s obsession with Drew gets worse and they are caught together when Susan, Karl and Libby return from England. Libby believes Drew’s explanations and sets about helping him to shake off the unwanted attention

After winning his court case against the radio station, Toadie finds himself swamped with attention from women, but quickly realises that they’re all either obsessed with politics or want his skills as a lawyer

Harold returns from Paris with a plan to sell up and make a fresh start elsewhere, but the locals band together to convince him to stay

Woody leaves Erinsborough to go into witness protection, but Steph can’t stop thinking about him and decides that she has to try and track him down

Paul receives a trial with the Eastside Dingoes football team, but quickly realises that drug use is rife amongst the players. However, he is tempted when star player Nathan Tyson offers him some steroids

Joel and Flick both try to move on from each other, him with backpacker Simone Pike and her with skateboarder Luke Dawson, but they are soon drawn back together

Karl finds out that Darcy made some miscalculations whilst he was filling in as locum and the surgery has to undergo and full audit

 


Ten Years Ago - May 1996

Secret and lies, threats, an engagement and a kidnapping made up a busy month in Erinsborough…

 

• Gay teacher Andrew Watson finds himself victimised by a student who pelts eggs at him and sends him anonymous threatening letters. However, it is revealed that the threats are from Rupert Sprod, who felt that he was being unfairly treated by the teacher and were actually unconnected to his sexuality

After being sacked from the gym for protesting about their sexist ways, Jo throws herself into her new job as a personal trainer for wealthy Rob Evans. Although Marlene is unhappy about the age difference, a romance blossoms and before long, the pair are engaged

Luke meets Charlie Moyes, a young cancer sufferer, who spurs him on to receive treatment and beat the disease. Meanwhile, Danni finds out about her friend’s illness and offers him her full support

Catherine returns from visiting her parents and Stonie goes all out to impress her by pretending to be interested in the same environmental causes as her

Cheryl hears that Brett has been arrested for drug smuggling in South America and heads out there to clear his name, but a few days later, word comes through that she’s been kidnapped and is being held hostage by a Guerilla group

Phil wins a literary award for his work as Philippa Martinez but if he accepts it, he will be forced to go public as a romance novelist

Mal begins to show a serious romantic interest in Debbie, but she only has eyes for Luke, who is turn is beginning to get closer to Danni, the only person who knows about his cancer
