Plenty of old faces returned as the neighbours celebrated twenty years of friendship…

Annalise Hartman returns to town with news that she’s making a documentary about the local community. She invites several old faces back to town – including Rosemary Daniels, Philip Martin, Doug Willis, Lucy Robinson, Joe Mangel and Lance Wilkinson – and screens the rough cut of the documentary to them at the pub. Everyone watches as many former residents talk about what Ramsay Street meant to them and Harold then raise a toast – to Neighbours…
Paul receives his leg operation after Dylan forges his signature on the consent papers. Although Paul is furious at first, Lucy’s return makes him realise that he needs to put down roots if he’s ever going to have any sort of relationship with his family and particularly his children. He announces plans to move into 22 Ramsay Street, but his good mood is shattered by Phil’s return and a nasty confrontation over the fraud charges that he left him with in 1993
Izzy thinks that her problems are over when Darcy finally leaves town, but before he goes, he writes a letter to Susan telling her all about the baby lies. Susan wrestles with her conscience before confronting Izzy and giving her one last chance to confess to Karl – or she’ll tell him herself. Izzy goes home after spending the night in the park and breaks the news to Karl – the baby wasn’t his. As he throws her out, she blurts out yet another lie – Gus forced himself on her. Karl takes her back, but then he overhears Izzy confessing all to Max, and, in the middle of Lassiter’s, he announces that their relationship is over and he never wants to see her again
Boyd agrees to help Kayla raise baby Ashley, and together they tell Max and Steph their news. Steph is horrified when Max still agrees to let them stay, but eventually she returns home and tries to make the best of the situation. Meanwhile, Summer is offered a place at the Gillard school of music and leaves to live in Wangaratta. Just as the Hoylands are settling down after all of the unrest, Max and Steph receive a visit from adoption official Peter Reece, who has found out that Kayla was staying with them both before and after Ashley’s birth. This breach of the rules means that the Hoylands are permanently removed from the list of potential adoptive parents
Stingray gets a new job as a courier, but is embarrassed by the tight pink uniform and feels that his boss, Go-Go Riley, is sexually harassing him. He is encouraged to confront her if he’s uncomfortable when she just laughs it off. When he then tries to threaten her with legal action, he finds himself suddenly removed from all of the work rotas
A returning Lance is horrified to find that Connor, who has many similarities to him, has taken his place at number 30, and the two men set about trying to see who can impress Toadie the most. Over at number 24, Harold is horrified as Joe starts to make himself at home, sleeping naked on the sofa and peeing on the flower beds, with little indication of when he’ll be leaving. Meanwhile, Connor and Serena struggle to get along as colleagues at the bikini shop, but by the end of the month, they’re enjoying each other’s company more and more and are finding it difficult to deny their attraction
