No 22 - Lounge/Front Doorstep: Terese answers the door to Paul, who wants to know if she deliberately told the police, as some kind of revenge. She says that she was just
doing her job, and only repeated what he told her, so if he was being honest then he has nothing to worry about. Terese then asks him to leave, as she has work to do, but Paul says that he also needs to speak to her about Jack - he's
getting out of hospital, but she's given his hotel room away. She explains that she didn't think he'd need it so soon, but can easily make some arrangements. Paul leaves, and outside the front door, he calls Marty and tells him that
they need to meet.
No 30 - Lounge: Callum wonders out loud why Josie is avoiding him, even online, as her avatar on Dragon Prophecies has been inactive for a week.
Sonya suggests that maybe her internet is down, or her avatar is broken, and Callum wishes he hadn't said anything. Toadie then arrives home, and says that he left the office early because there was nothing to do. Sonya confirms to
him that she's been putting up posters of Marty, but hasn't had any responses to them yet. She sees how unhappy both Callum and Toadie are, and suggests that they go and join in with the treasure hunt. Callum decides to go and see
if Bailey wants to do it, and Sonya then tries to talk Toadie into joining her.
Community Centre: Bailey and Callum turn up, thinking the clue about babies was pointing them there, but can't seem to find anything. Bailey listens
to the next clue - 'Walk out to the stepping stones, laid out just for you, and face our life lessons, said honest and true' - they have no idea what it means. Josie then comes in, also doing the treasure hunt, but turns down Bailey's
offer to join their team, preferring not to be around Callum.
Park: Marty isn't impressed that Paul has got him involved in all of this, pointing out that it was meant to be a quick, low risk job. Paul says
that it would have been, if Marty hadn't used his credit card to pay for the room, and he says that although the police want to talk to him, the main suspect is still Jarrod Rebecchi, and a lot of the local kids are under suspicion
too. Paul says that, now the police have his credit card details, it won't be long before they track him down, so he hands him an envelope of money and tells him to disappear, at least until someone else is convicted. Marty says that
he's sick of taking money from Paul, so Paul tells him to call it a severance package - they then go their separate ways.
No 30 - Lounge: A glum Toadie is standing by Nell's pram, when Sonya comes in with a spade and an eye patch, and starts doing pirate impressions.
Toadie isn't amused. He asks her when she was going to mention that she's arranging a party for Lucas and Vanessa - Brad just called to ask for the details. She says that she was waiting until Toadie was in a better mood, and tries
to cheer him up again with the pirate impressions, but he tells her that she's being irritating. Bailey then turns up, looking for Callum - he says that he's been a real idiot and needs to tell Callum about it.
Harold's Store: Toadie isn't really in the mood, as Sonya tries to work out the clues, so she tells him to just go home and be antisocial, and
he leaves, as Susan comes in. She asks Sonya what's going on, and Sonya explains that she was trying to get Toadie to stop worrying and get out of the house, but Susan thinks it's just his way of coping, and there's no point in
forcing him to do things. Josie then approaches Susan, asking about one of the clues, but Susan says that she doesn't know any of the answers - only a select group of year 11 and 12s have been told the answer. As Josie goes to
leave, Sonya invites her to the party at Charlie's that evening. Josie thinks it would be weird, as she wouldn't know anyone, but Sonya tells her that Callum will be there, and he'd love the company. Josie then agrees to come.
Lassiter's Hotel - Reception: Terese welcomes Jack back to the hotel, and tells him that his new room isn't quite as big as the suite he had, but it's
got a lovely view. Paul sends the porter on ahead with Jack, and then asks Terese why she would insult the founder of the hotel by giving him a downgrade. She says that he's lucky to even have a room - she tried to settle his account and
was told by the credit card company to cut up his card, as he's completely broke.
Lassiter's Hotel - Room 717: Jack is resting on the bed, when Paul knocks on the door. Paul is pleased to see that Jack is comfortable, then tells him
that his credit card was declined. Jack says that he's been waiting for that to happen, and then explains that he has nothing now - he's deliberately given it all away. He tells Paul that he's dying of an inoperable brain aneurysm, which
could burst at any moment, and the heart attack was a side effect of the medication. He admits that he was hoping to make the money last until the end, but he hadn't banked on living so long. Paul can't believe that Jack's left himself
with nothing, but Jack says that, in the end, it's people that matter, not money - and he's just sorry it took him so long to figure that out.
Radio Station: Callum is sitting around, trying to get someone's attention, when Josie comes in. He prepares that he was just catching up on
local affairs, but then admits that he was hoping that one of the year 11s might give something away about the treasure hunt - and Josie says that she's there for the same reason. They decide to join forces and start snooping around,
but are almost caught. Josie then tells him that Sonya invited her to the party, and Callum says that the atmosphere might be a bit weird, as Toadie still thinks he ran down Robbo. He apologises for unloading his problems on her, but
she says that it's fine, then leans in to kiss him. He pulls back and she's mortified and apologises before running off.
Lassiter's Hotel - Room 717: Jack is packing his bag, when Paul turns up, wanting to know why Jack's checking out of the hotel. Jack says that he has no money and
doesn't want to be seen as a bludger - Paul then says that he isn't going to evict the founder of the hotel; he's already had one PR blunder to deal with today. Jack then gets upset and says that he wouldn't want to provide Paul with any bad
publicity, before telling Paul that he only cares about money, his Ferrari and his flash apartment, but none of it will matter when he's lying on his death bed with nobody to hold his hand. Paul replies that he's perfectly happy with his life, and
unlike Jack, he isn't trying for a sainthood. Jack tells him that, if the money's so important, he'll go and dig up the last of the treasure, to pay the hotel bill. Paul won't allow it, and says he'll send a member of staff, so Jack writes down the
location of the last of the treasure - Paul leaves the room and looks at the note, but doesn't look happy.
Harold's Store: Susan finds Toadie, moping over a cup of coffee, and sits with him. She asks for the details about the party that evening, but Toadie
says that he isn't planning on going. Susan thinks that it would do Toadie good to get out for the night, and asks him what he would advise a client in his position - he says that he'd tell them not to get ahead of themselves, and Susan
says that Toadie has already put himself on trial, and he needs to listen to his own advice. Across the room, Callum is telling Bailey about Josie kissing him - Bailey then admits that he told Josie that Callum likes her, quite a lot. Callum
tells Bailey that he's going to have to come up with a way to fix this situation, as Josie is coming to the party later.
Lassiter's Hotel - Reception Exterior: Jack is preparing to leave, and Paul says that he found the money, paid off the hotel bill and put the rest of
it into Jack's bank account. Paul also apologises for the way he spoke to Jack earlier, though Jack says that he probably gave as good as he got. He then says that he's been past the place where the treasure is buried, and there's no
sign of any digging - he knew deep down that Paul wouldn't take it, and would do the right thing. He explains that it was a test to see if Paul had learnt anything over the last few weeks, and he passed with flying colours. They then
say a final goodbye and share a hug, before Jack leaves in his taxi. Terese then appears, to tell Paul that his new Ferrari seems to have gone missing - Paul explains that he sold it, as he decided that he didn't like the colour.
Charlie's: Later, Sonya and Sheila are decorating the bar, and Susan arrives to help. Toadie isn't far behind, and he has some flowers, to
apologise to Sonya for the way he's been treating her lately. He suggests that they could head home for a little private time together, as it's a while before the party starts. They quickly head out the door, leaving Susan and
Sheila to finish arranging the party.
Erinsborough Police Station: Marty Kranic arrives at the police station, telling Detective Oakley that he believes they've been looking for him.
Charlie's: The party is just beginning - Terese and Brad arrive, and Terese tells Sonya and Toadie that she managed to identify the man they've
all been looking for - his name is Martin Kranic and he was a guest at the hotel. Sonya and Toadie look very hopeful.
Erinsborough Police Station: Marty is telling Detective Oakley that he only knew Paul because they played a few card games together, but they had
nothing else to do with each other.
Charlie's: Toadie realises that he could finally be off the hook, and he and Sonya look forward to telling Lucas and Vanessa too, as they're
on their way to the party.
Erinsborough Police Station: Detective Oakley asks why Marty got Lucas's money back for him. Marty explains that he's been in a similar position in
the past and wanted to help, but Oakley suspects that Lucas witnessed Marty running down Robbo, and got the money to keep him quiet. Marty says that he didn't run anyone down, but as he was going to his car, he saw someone else -
a professional looking guy, who was hammered and could barely walk straight. Oakley asks Marty if he could identify that man.
Charlie's: Toadie happily tells Sonya that he can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, and he kisses her.
Erinsborough Police Station: Marty is shown photographs of the various suspects, and he immediately points to the picture of Toadie.
