No 22: In the kitchen, Josh is trying to convince Terese that he is not quitting school because of Amber. Josh explains he has worked
hard to get into the swimming squad, but Terese retorts that they had a deal: her and Brad would support Josh as long as his grades stayed up. Josh replies that if Terese wants to kick him out, then so be it, but Terese
explains that, with the end of the school year in sight, Josh should try and juggle school and swimming. Josh points out that the Commonwealth games are also coming up and he is under a lot of pressure. He goes on to add
that school can wait, as he has his whole life to complete that, but only a few years as a top swimmer. Angrily, Terese blames Amber and says that, no matter what Brad thinks, Josh will finish school. Brad, who
has just arrived home with Imogen hears this, and sarcastically thanks Terese. Brad explains he understands where Josh is coming from; Imogen makes it clear she thinks that Josh is crazy. Josh tells his family he won't
be changing his mind, ignoring the look of horror from Terese.
No 26: Chris is lying on the sofa being frantically licked by Bossy. Sheila arrives and points out the time causing Chris to realise
he is late back to the garage from lunch. Leaping up, he begins shoving items into his pockets, remarking how Danni will not be happy. Sheila suggests Chris takes some time off and to perhaps see a counsellor. Chris
snaps back he is fine and Sheila angrily tells him that snapping at people who are trying to help won't work. Chris apologises, and Sheila tells him he has lots of friends who would listen to him. Sheila suggests Chris
reached out to Amber, following their fall out, but Chris says that he has to run, and heads for the front door.
No 32 - Kitchen: Sheila follows Lou, who is carrying a box, into the kitchen and announces that she is there to sort out the tension
between Chris and Amber. Lou jokes that Sheila is staying out of other people's business as usual! He adds that he will pass on the message to Amber. Inside the box he is carrying, Lou discovers his great-grandparents'
wedding certificate. Lou explains to Sheila that it is all part of the family tree being written, and that he might invite Sheila to the party. Sheila tells Lou she might attend, as long as it isn't expected that she jumps
out of the cake. Sheila heads off. Underneath the wedding certificate, Lou discovers a death certificate and looks in horror at it.
No 28 - Dining Table: Susan is handing out cups of tea to Josh, Brad and Terese as Terese thanks her for seeing them. Josh explains how flexible
school is and asks Susan to confirm there are different options available for him. Sitting down at the table, Susan agrees there are, but Terese points out again that there are only two months left for Josh in Year 11.
Josh thanks Susan for the tutoring and explains that she was right: he is only focussing on what is needed to get to the games. Terese asks Susan if she encouraged Josh to quit: Susan replies she didn't, and that what
she was trying to encourage was prioritising important things. Terese tells Josh that she will reconsider, as it is so important, and will reopen the discussion on the ban on Josh and Amber seeing each other. Josh
explains that it has gone past that now: he wants to get to the Commonwealth games and will not miss out on that just so that he can keep up to date with school work. Ultimately, Susan agrees with Josh, highlighting
how focused and driven he is. Josh leaves, announcing that he is making the right decision; as he goes, Terese angrily rounds on Brad asking him how they can protect their son, if he won't back her up.
Fitzgerald Motors: Chris is working when Amber walks up behind him. Amber apologises for bothering him and tells Chris she feels
terrible that Robbo followed her and the Turners to Erinsborough, but that she can't take responsibility for the actions of Robbo or Hudson. Chris tells her that he shouldn't have gone off at Amber and that there was
no excuse for his behaviour. Amber points out that there was, and they hug, Amber telling Chris that she missed him. Apologetically, she adds that she will still have to testify against Hudson; Chris says that he
understands. amber suggests Chris should have a day on the couch and a sundae to cheer himself up, but Chris mentions that he has a new boss and doesn't want to get into any more trouble. amber urges Chris to call
her any time, before leaving.
Charlie's: Sheila is behind the bar when Lou comes in looking for her. He orders a whiskey, and snaps back at her when she points
out it is still very early in the day, calling her a bar wench. Sheila asks him not to call her that, and is asked for another whiskey by Lou, who has downed the first immediately. Sheila gets him a soft drink, and
asks what Lou is so rattled about. Lou points out that old age isn't nice, and that he will have to call off his birthday. Incredulously, Sheila asks why Lou would do that: Lou replies that a party would be a
nightmare. Sheila suggests that Lou should sit down and think about it: he wanders over to a table and, looking contemplative, sits down.
Fitzgerald Motors: Chris is exhausted at work and dozes off at his desk. The phone rings, waking him up. Danni is on the other end and
asks Chris why he was sleeping. Chris is surprised to see that security cameras have been installed in the garage and asks Danni why he wasn't told about them. Chris informs Danni that he won't fall asleep again at work.
Charlie's: Lou is looking thoughtful; Sheila comes over to the table and asks what the matter is. Lou replies that it isn't Sheila's
concern, but she points out that Lou already knows she has a curious disposition. Lou explains that he found the death certificates of his father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Jokingly, Sheila replies that, at Lou's
age, it is not surprising that they are dead. Worriedly, Lou tells Sheila that all the previous men in his family died when they were 70, and Sheila scoffs at Lou's notion that he might be cursed. Sheila acknowledges that
getting older isn't fun, but that if Lou is worried he should get Karl to give him a check-up. Lou wonders why he would bother wasting time, when he can't change fate, and urges Sheila to not tell the rest of the Turners as
he doesn't want to worry them. He asks how he would break the news to Lauren that he doesn't want a birthday party: Sheila teases that he shouldn't as it may be his last! Lou adds that he is worried that his heart my give
out, with all his family watching. Sheila tells Lou that he is a silly fool and pats him on the back before heading off.
Lassiter's Complex: Terese spots Amber and calls her over. Terese asks if Amber knows that Josh is leaving school: Amber confirms that
she does. Terese sits down with Amber and admits that she wants Josh to realise his dream of achieving gold, but points out that life doesn't always go according to plan. she wonders what will happen if Josh gets to the
games and comes in third or fifth place, or even if Josh injures himself and his dreams are over. a,ber admits that she hadn't thought about that, but Terese explains that she just wants Josh to have a full life. She goes
on to say that, at the moment, Josh is torn between Amber, swimming and school, and that he would benefit from focussing on only those things that will give him the best options later in life. Terese explains how grateful
she would be if Amber could help Josh realise all of this.
Harold's Store: Amber is cleaning tables when Josh appears, kissing her. Josh tells Amber that he has a family dinner to go to, in which school will be
discussed. Amber explains that all the talk about Josh's future has got her considering her own future. Josh realises he has never asked what Amber wants to do: Amber says that she hasn't yet decided, but that it will all be about
possibilities. Josh suspiciously asks when Amber started thinking about this, and asks who she has been talking to.
Charlie's: Josh marches into the bar, to where Terese and Brad are sitting. Terese informs Josh that Imogen is on her way. As Josh sits
at the table, Terese apologises for not listening to Josh earlier and Josh asks why she used Amber to get to him. Terese says that she didn't say anything that she hadn't already said to Josh, but Josh tells her that all she
is doing is interfering. He angrily points out that Terese always has to have her own way and storms off. Brad gets up to go after him, but Terese tells him to let Josh go.
Charlie's: A while later, Terese asks Brad if that is how the family sees her. Brad points out he is trying to seethings from Josh's
perspective and that it seems that Terese his constantly challenging him. Brad points out that he couldn't succeed with surfing, and Terese asks if he is pushing Josh to succeed where Brad couldn't. Brad says it isn't
because Josh has the drive to succeed. He adds that Josh is like Terese in that they are both driven and will go after something if they want it. In addition, Brad highlights how much Josh is at the pool, whilst his
friends are out at parties and that, as Josh is special, he needs their support. Brad gets up to go after Josh.
No 26: Chris is looking at his dinner and not eating it. He angrily tells Sheila about Danni, and how she is waiting for Chris to stuff
up. Sheila tells Chris he will lift his game at work, and gets a cherry cake from the fridge. Sheila asks Chris what he is doing that evening and says that, although she was off to the movies, she might actually stay in.
He tells her that he will probably have an early night anyway. Sheila says that an early night will do him good, though as she is in the kitchen sorting out the cake, she doesn't notice Chris take a tablet out of his pocket
and swallow it. He passes on the dessert and heads to his room.
Charlie's: Imogen arrives and asks Terese where Josh is. Terese asks Imogen how counselling is going: Imogen replies it is full on and
intense because it is clear she has lots of decisions to make and that she has the power to make the right ones. Josh and Brad return: before sitting, Josh explains that he is fine to eat, but has not changed his opinions
from earlier. Terese explains she was wrong to ban Josh from Amber and she wants him to stay at school, but ultimately it is his choice. Terese adds that Josh has her full support and Josh replies that, to keep his end
of the deal, he will do gardening duties for a month.
No 26: It is the middle of the night. Sheila looks out of the kitchen window and sees Chris sleepwalking.
Calling his name desperately, she follows him, as he knocks several things over as he moves along.
Power Road: Following Chris along the streets a car pulls up next to Sheila. Inside, a man asks her if she is ok and points out it is late for her to be on her own. He offers her a lift, before getting out of his car.
As he continues to act suspiciously, Sheila runs off to hide, frightened by the encounter.
