Terese retorts that those kind of favours she. Could do without and insists that the parking charges will be scrapped. Paul asks her how she is going to pay for the changes she wants to make without the car park income, and points out that she could miss the targets that she has been set in her contract, meaning that she will be fired. Paul heads off, saying that the ball is in Terese's court, leaving Terese standing shocked at the bar.

Harold's Store: Chris is sitting at a table with Brad and thanks him for meeting up. Chris explains he has been to apologise to Josh, who in turn went to speak to the police about dropping the assault charges. Chris adds he has apologised to all the others he hurt when he was feeling down and wants to apologise to Brad too. Brad says that he was worried about Chris and that they all missed him. getting up, Chris wishes Brad luck in the fun run, before heading off. Brad spots Karl and Matt, who have just come in, dressed in their running gear. Brad teases Karl and Lauren asks Matt to take it easy in the run.

Lassiter's Complex: Terese is at the water stand, when Paul sidles over. Without saying anything he takes a bottle and walks off, leaving Terese to stand and watch him go. Noticing Lauren, Terese heads over to her and asks how the protest went. Lauren says that it is not possible and Terese reiterates that the charges were to her idea. Over on a bench, Brad asks Matt what his strategy is: Matt replies it wouldn't be a good strategy of he shared it. Brad says that his strategy is simple: get in front and stay there. Matt says Brad needs to look out as he could overtake Brad at any time. Meanwhile, Sonya is preparing to run, chatting to Toadie, who is looking after Nell. Sonya says that she is considering writing her own blog and Toadie teases her, suggesting she call it 'Sonya's Soapbox'. In the distance, Sonya notices Josie, who is intensively warming up. Sonya comments how seriously Josie is taking it and worries that Josie seems to be overdoing the exercise. Leaving Toadie, Sonya walks over and offers to run with Josie. Josie declines, saying that she'd rather be on her own and in the zone, but Sonya points out that sometimes, when you are in the zone your body doesn't know when it's had enough. Josie runs off, admitting that, although she overdid things before, the fun run is only for fun.

Harold's Store: Karl is telling Chris he doesn't need an apology; Chris tells him that he is going round the whole neighbourhood just in case. Karl says that he is glad Chris has sorted things out with Hudson, but Chris explains what Hudson said to him in jail and how Hudson thinks its too long for Chris to have to wait. Karl urges Chris to talk to Hudson and make it work and asks Chris if he is just going. To give up. Karl admits that the worst decision he ever made was letting Susan go and tells him that the relationship has to be worth fighting for. Chris admits it is, before a bell rings from outside, indicating that the race is about to start. Chris peels off his number, thanking Karl before leaving.

Lassiter's Complex: At the start line, people are preparing to start. Watching on, Lauren suggests that she and Terese head off after the race starts for a coffee; Terese agrees, but only on condition that they can eat something unhealthy too. They look on in shock as Paul introduces the race, having appointed himself as MC. Terese admits she though Paul was just giving out prizes at the end. Paul gives a speech about community and giving money, before sounding the air horn to start the race.

Harold's Store: Lauren brings across two large slices of cake to where Terese is sitting. As Lauren joins Terese, she says she can't believe that Paul sprung the car park charges on her in the way that he did. Terese says she should have known that something like that would be coming and Lauren says that, if Terese is in charge, she must be able to cancel the pay parking. Guiltily, Terese admits that she wants to make changes to the hotel and she has no other way to pay for it. Lauren points out how the charges could affect Harold's, and although Terese says she understands, Lauren asks her if she really does. Terese says she has been painted into a corner and has no choice. Lauren asks if she can do something, like putting up the hotel's nightly rates. Terese says no, because she will lose clients and can't afford it. Lauren says that she can't afford it either and points out that Terese is going to let other people think its not her idea to charge for parking, but on the other hand is going to do absolutely nothing about it. The two of them drink their coffees uncomfortably.

Lassiter's Complex: The fun run is in full swing and Bailey and Callum are giving out drinks to passing runners. Bailey asks Callum if Gem is on her way, and urges Callum to text her so that they can find out for sure. Just then, Josie sprints up to them: Callum asks her if Imogen is behind her anywhere. Josie runs off and Callum says to Bailey that he wants to offer his services as Imogen's treasurer at school. Bailey teases Callum, wondering if that is the real reason Callum is waiting for Imogen. Meanwhile, Kyle and Georgia are running along and stop for a quick rest. Kyle asks Georgia if they should take a small diversion for a bit of alone time. Georgia says that she can't as its for charity, but after Kyle suggests that she can think of him as chariot they sneak off from the race and through the bushes. Elsewhere, Toadie is pushing Nell along to get a better view of the race. As Sonya runs past, she asks if he has seen Josie anywhere.

Warrinor Prison: Chris brings cans of drink over to where Hudson is sitting. Hudson admits he is surprised to see Chris and Chris explains that he had to see Hudson again. Chris explains he doesn't want to break up with Hudson and says that, just because Hudson is in jail, it doesn't mean they can't make a relationship work. Hudson points out that it would be impossible, but Chris says that it won't be any different to a long-distance relationship and it would actually be better because they'd be able to see each other all the time. Hudson is amazed that Chris would be prepared to do that, but Chris replies that if the situation was the other way round, Hudson would do the same. Chris also adds that Hudson gave up swimming so that they could be together. Hudson says that, even if Chris feels like this now, it may not last. Chris explains how seriously he feels about Hudson, and that even with parole possibilities a couple of years away, he wants their relationship to remain. Realising that Chris won't give up on him, Hudson happily accepts Chris' suggestion that they do not break up. Relieved, Chris kisses Hudson happily.

Lassiter's Complex: Matt and Brad are racing along, though Brad takes the lead when Matt doubles over with a stitch. Matt tells Karl, who has caught up with him to carry on, as he will overtake Karl shortly. Meanwhile, Josie is sprinting thought the race; Sonya, who is struggling to keep up with her, calls out that Josie should slow down, but Josie ignore her, leaving Sonya to stop behind her. At the finish line, Brad wins the race and is congratulated by Lauren. Karl follows shortly behind, and Brad teases Karl again, telling him he came 2nd in the over 60s category. Lauren asks where Matt is - just then a runner arrives asking if an ambulance can be sent for Matt, who is a kilometre behind. Lauren races off, while Karl tries to get an ambulance organised before following her. Lauren races to where Matt is, panicking and shouting to be let through. She sees Matt, but he is actually looking after Josie, who is lying motionless on the floor. Karl asks Josie questions, which she can answer, leading him to deduce she is probably very dehydrated. Sonya says that she tried to tell Josie to slow down as she was pushing herself to hard. Matt notices Lauren shaking, and asks her if she is ok. Lauren explains that when she heard Matt needed an ambulance she panicked. Matt kisses her and Lauren looks relieved.

Harold's Store: Callum hangs up his phone, and explains to Bailey that Sonya has gone to the hospital with Josie. Callum says he feels bad, as he ignored Josie, not making sure she had enough water. Callum gets up to go to the hospital and Bailey follows.

Charlie's: Georgia is selling her CDs with Kyle when Paul heads over and grabs the microphone on stage. He thanks everyone for coming and introduces Georgia to the crowd. Georgia thanks Paul and explains the profits from her song will be going to the hospital. as she sings her song, Matt comes in, seeing Lauren sitting at a table. He explains how he found Josie lying on the floor and how he tried to help as best as he could. Matt adds it felt good when Lauren turned up, as she looked like her worst nightmare was coming true. Lauren jokes that Matt must like seeing her traumatised, before explaining that Matt is everything to her and apologising for the miscommunications and fighting. They kiss happily. Just then, Terese walks in and congratulates Brad, explaining that she has spent all afternoon going through books at the hotel and hasn't found any way of being able to cut back. Terese explains she has no choice but to keep the paid parking. Brad sighs, telling her that if she had stopped to think about it, she would have seen what Paul was up to. Brad adds, however, that everything will be ok, as Terese does always manage to work it out.

Charlie's: A little later, Paul takes to the microphone again, and brings Brad, who won the race, onto the stage. Brad accepts the trophy from Paul and dedicates it to Josie. As Brad heads off, Paul tells the crowd he has a special announcement to make. He announces that he is going to be running as a candidate for the mayor of Erinsborough. Matt realises that this is the reason Paul wanted his convictions quashed. Paul goes on to say that his first job as mayor will be to get rid of the parking charges which Terese is trying to enforce. Terese watches on in horror.
