Recap
• Chris finding Kate and Kyle asleep on the sofa and Georgia spotting Kate leaving Number 26
• Terese confronting Paul over changing Lassiter's into Robinson's
• Marty trying to cross Paul and offering Karl information that would damage Paul's campaign
• Sheila encouraging Karl to make the information about Paul public
• Karl, who is performing at Charlie's, telling the audience he has something to say to them

No 28: Karl and Susan arrive home, Susan congratulating Karl on a successful performance. She adds that Karl did the right thing by not using Marty's information. Karl admits he was tempted, but that he couldn't stoop to Paul's level and hopes that the voters respond to him, rather than Paul. Susan reassures Karl that he is a good man, and the type of person that Erinsborough deserves to have as its mayor.

Charlie's: Kate is reading some tweets on her phone, praising Karl's performance the previous night. Paul is listening reluctantly, sneering at Karl's chances. Just then, Sheila heads over, giving Paul a lecture about the advantages of free speech and pulling her jacket aside reveals a "Doctor Karl for mayor" T-Shirt. Paul reminds Sheila of her dress code, but Sheila retorts that it has already been cleared with Terese. As Sheila leaves, Paul urges Kate to keep an eye on the tweets for anything negative, but Kate replies that it's too late to change the minds of voters now, anyway.

Lassiter's Complex: Sheila is urging Bailey to film Karl, as they will need a record of Karl becoming Erinsborough's new mayor. Paul, who is walking past suggests Sheila and Bailey continue, so that they have a permanent record of Karl's failure. Sheila shoos Bailey away, telling him to capture as many negative views as he can about Paul. Meanwhile, Paul has spotted Terese over by the hotel, and he heads over. Paul asks Terese about an important client, and Terese replies that everything is under control as Mason is busy showing them around. Paul is horrified, wondering why Terese is leaving anything to chance. Terese retorts that she isn't, and is planning to go through her pitch before the presentation.

Harold's Store: Lauren is attaching a second rosette to Susan, although agreeing that two is too many, Susan heads off just with her coffee. Susan sees Georgia sitting at a table and asks how she is. Georgia replies that she is planning to see Kyle later, but is not going to reveal news of her pregnancy for a while until everyone knows where they stand. Georgia reassures Susan that it is the right thing to do. Before Susan leaves, she urges Georgia to make sure that she votes as Karl needs as much support as possible.

Erinsborough Community Centre: Kate is busy giving out vote cards, though is largely being ignored by those walking past. Kyle sidles over and asks Kate how she is going: he admits he is on his third pile of cards compared to Kate still trying to distribute her first. Kyle and Kate compete giving out their cards: Kate suggests that whoever gives out their pile of cards first wins. Kyle agrees.

Lassiter's Complex: Down by the lake, Mason is busy showing a client around, discussing details such as the marquee which impresses the client. Mason adds that Terese will also discuss further packages with him shortly. Suddenly, Mason is asked about recent problems with the marquee and events: Mason tries to explain off the explosion, revealing that the hotel has done everything they can to ensure it will never happen again, and that safety is Lassiter's top priority. As Terese walks over, Mason is left horrified when the client reveals he was talking about the leaky marquee and asks what the explosion was all about. Terese asks if Mason gave all the information that was needed. As she guides the client towards the hotel, he admits that Mason has.

Erinsborough Community Centre: Kate is teasing Kyle about the paper aeroplanes he is making out of the campaign leaflets. Showing the planes she has just made the two begin a paper aeroplane fight, before Paul interrupts, wondering how that is helping look after things for him. Karl arrives with Matt and greets some of the voters: Matt says that he and Karl have turned up to make every last vote count. Karl and Paul have their photo taken. Smiling and shaking hands, Paul tells Karl to enjoy the limelight as it's the last he'll have for a while. Karl retorts that if he had taken up Marty's offer, he could have easily had a lot more! Paul threatens Karl with defamation if he did so. Just then, Paul takes a phone call, telling the person on the other end that he is disappointed with what he has just heard.

Lassiter's Complex: Bailey is filming Chris, who is explaining that he will be voting for Karl as he is one of the good guys. Behind the bushes, Paul storms over to Terese and yells at her that they did not secure the contract from earlier in the morning. He rants that Terese sold Lassiter's out, so that she built up goodwill for herself when she leaves to join the other chain herself. Terese tries to defend herself, admitting that she turned a job down with them, and that she would never harm Lassiter's. Paul continues to yell at Terese, blaming her for putting Mason in charge, and ordering her to lift her game as he does not tolerate incompetence from any of his staff. He angrily storms off, leaving Terese looking shocked. The whole argument has been filmed by Bailey...

Harold's Store: Terese is filling Matt in on how outrageous Paul's accusations were. Matt replies that if Terese wants her work acknowledged she is working for the wrong person. Matt heads off with the lunches he came to collect, just as Kyle and Kate come in. They head over to a table and debate about whose turn it is to pay, as they can't decide who got rid of their voting cards first. Playing with an origami fortune teller, Kyle chooses the number on it that says "You will buy Kate lunch". Kyle, however, dashes off when he gets a message about 'campaign stuff'.

Charlie's: Sheila excitedly closes Bailey's camera as she watches the exchange from earlier between Paul and Terese. Sheila tells Bailey they need to post it online, and explains it is not unethical because the filming took place in public. Bailey is reluctant, because of the issues he had surrounding hacking into Kate's emails. Sheila tries to force Bailey to do it, reasoning that Paul is playing dirty and fire needs to be fought with fire, but Bailey retorts that if Sheila wants it online, then she will have to do it herself.

Lassiter's Complex: Kyle walks over to meet Georgia, saying that he came because he got her text. Georgia hands over a document and says it needs to be signed so that their wedding account is closed. Kyle tells Georgia he doesn't want it. Georgia replies that she isn't a charity, but Kyle is adamant he doesn't want the money and adds that if Georgia transfers it to him, he will send it straight back. At the same time, Kate, who is over by the car park bumps into Bailey going in the other direction. Bailey apologises again for hacking into the emails and Kate tells him to stop worrying as things seem to be working out for the best. As he heads off, Kate notices Kyle and Georgia together.

Charlie's: Karl spots Sheila behind the bar and asks her what is going on. Sheila asks Karl if he has seen the video, which has gone viral, and gleefully tells Karl that there has been a massive swing in votes towards him. Karl replies he didn't want to use these tactics as they are cheating, but Sheila adds that Karl is just not ruthless enough by himself to get the votes and that Karl's reputation is still intact as the video is free speech working for them.

Lassiter's Complex: Kate and Chris are walking along, Kate revealing she doesn't know where she stands with Kyle. Chris urges Kate to slow down, pointing out hat Kyle was due to marry Georgia within weeks and those kinds of feelings can't be simply turned off. Chris goes on to warn Kate that if she doesn't let things take time, the whole situation is likely to blow up in her face. Kate replies that she can't help it: she knows how she feels, and when she sees Kyle with Georgia it hurts.

Charlie's: Paul is on his laptop watching the video of him and Terese, entitled "Boss Goes Crazy At Employee". Mason, who has just come in, sees Paul and heads over to him, admitting he stuffed up the contract from earlier. Mason explains how he misread the question he was asked and revealed the explosion. He adds Terese was great and, by her professionalism, almost managed to save the situation. Paul angrily retorts that she shouldn't have had to. He argues that Mason is a junior and should have been supervised by Terese. Furthermore, with people at both the election and the hotel, he is surrounded generally by incompetence.

Harold's Store: Susan meets Georgia and asks her if she is coming to hear the election results. Georgia replies that she needs some space and is off for a few days to clear her head. Meanwhile, Terese is on the phone trying to explain that the investigation proved the explosion had nothing to do with Lassiter's. Having no luck, Terese tells the person on the other end that should they need Lassiter's in the future, the hotel will be more than accommodating. Mason sidles over and explains that he admitted to Paul everything was his fault. Terese replies that it is common knowledge that an explosion happened and that Mason isn't to blame. Mason tells Terese hat what Paul is doing isn't right; Terese replies that she is not putting up wit it any more.

Charlie's: Kate and Chris arrive, Kate heading over to Paul to reveal that the count is just about ready to be read. Susan is busy trying to reassure Karl that he undertook a clean race, and what happens when he is mayor is the most important thing. Kyle excitedly looks at the results of the election: Sheila is horrified to discover that Paul has been named mayor, Paul celebrates jubilantly away from the shocked looks of most of the others present.

Charlie's: A little later, Matt suggests they call for a recount, but Karl declines, saying that they lost. Sheila tells Karl that he should have taken Marty up on his offer. Paul offers Karl a glass of champagne and says there is no one else he would have wanted to run against: Susan admits she is surprised with the result, especially following the video of him yelling at Terese. Susan asks Karl how he really is: Karl replies that they lost, but that he did achieve the childcare centre as well as being really pleased with the way he conducted himself during the campaign. Karl admits he is proud that he didn't feel the need to compromise himself in political games. Meanwhile, Paul hands Kate a drink, thanking her for her efforts. He says that he would have liked the others, Elle and Andrew, around to see the victory. Paul reveals he has invited them over for his 50th the following week. Kate is not particularly enthusiastic, her mind still on Kyle. Just then, Terese marches over and apologises for coming over during Paul's victory party. Terese says she doesn't like making decisions when she is angry, so has thought about it all day. She says that the situation at Lassiter's has been unbearable - so she is going to quit. Paul sarcastically replies its a shame, but probably for the best. Terese refuses Paul's offer of an exit plan meeting the following day, saying that she is quitting immediately. Paul angrily replies that she can't, as he has just been elected mayor and hasn't time, but Terese says that it is not her problem and before leaving Paul standing speechless and in shock, sarcastically congratulates him on his win.
