• Imogen reassuring Mason, then kissing him
• Kate being hit accidentally by a ball at school, throwing it back and hitting Bailey, just as Susan arrives

Erinsborough High: Kate apologises to Bailey, who is picking up textbooks that he dropped. Bailey reassures Kate and Susan he is fine, as it was just an accident. Glad that Bailey is alright, Kate walks off, much to Susan's surprise, who chases after her. Susan asks Kate why she just walked off but Kate continues on, telling Susan she has to get ready for class. Kate adds that the situation was just an accident, but Susan retorts that Kate at least could have shown some remorse. Kate replies that Susan is overreacting, but Susan fires back Kate is being unprofessional and that it needs to stop. Susan adds that Kate should take some time off to consider her attitude, as she is being self-indulgent and taking out problems on the students. looking shocked, Kate asks if she is being suspended, but Susan replies that Kate is being asked to take some time to sort herself out.

Eclipse Apartments - Paul's Penthouse: Paul arrives home, surprised to find Kate there. Kate explains what happened with the ball and Susan, though Paul sarcastically explains that Susan does like to get on her moral high horse. Kate replies that Susan did have a point and stops Paul from phoning Susan, telling him that she could probably do with a few days off anyway. Paul leaves Kate to her tea and biscuits.

No 32: Matt hangs up the phone, having been chatting to Rhiannon who was trying to locate Mason among his friends. Lauren urges Matt to try the station again, as she can't take any more surprises: just then, Mason walks in through the door. Lauren and Matt are pleased to see Mason, but Lauren demands to know why he didn't call to let the family know he was alright. As Bailey arrives home, Mason reveals he went back to the accident site to see if he could work out what caused the accident; Mason replies that the abseiling equipment had gone, but has to reiterate that the only reason he went back was to clear his name as he didn't mean to hurt Josh. Mason asks Lauren and Matt if they believe him, and Matt firmly replies that they do. Mason asks if the police found anything, but Lauren explains that Matt is being kept out of things due to conflict of interests. Mason heads off to take a shower and Lauren asks Matt if he can pull any strings to find something out at work. Matt says he will try.

Lassiter's Hotel: Mason runs into the foyer to where Terese is working behind reception. He apologises, offering to make his disappearance up to her. Mason asks Terese how Josh is, but she angrily retorts that he has earned himself an official warning for not turning up to work. Paul walks by, telling them both that Lassiter's is a respectable establishment and guests do not want to see staff sniping at each other. Paul then asks Mason to go and get his uniform to join the shift: Terese reminds Paul that she is the manager, but Paul explains that he is the owner and will step in when conflict of interests arise. As he walks off, Paul tells Terese to enjoy the shift.

No 32: Mason is ironing his shirt when Imogen drifts in, asking Mason if he is ok. Mason explains he tried to find the equipment, but that it had been stolen, although Imogen responds that she had called the hire place and told them where to find it, so that Mason didn't get into trouble for not returning it. Imogen reassures Mason that she knows he did everything by the book when he indicates his belief that the equipment was responsible for the accident. Mason asks Imogen how Josh is and she explains that he is being let out of hospital the following day. She suggests they watch a movie in order to forget about the accident for a while, but Mason replies that he has to head off for work, and they agree to watch it later, giving each other a cheeky smile as Imogen leaves.

Charlie's: Brad asks Kelly to let him know if there is any news. As he leaves, Matt wanders in and the two stare at each other before Matt heads over to do exactly the same thing. Kelly tells Matt that he is doing the same thing as Brad: interrupting her lunch which is already four hours late! Matt asks Kelly for a favour, urging her to reveal whether he needs to start preparing for the worst. Kelly explains that forensics have recovered the equipment from the abseiling company, and that the report states the equipment was in good working order and had no defects. Matt realises that the blame is therefore with Mason, although Kelly tries to reassure him that it is extremely unlikely that Mason will be charged. Matt continues to worry that it could breach Mason's good behaviour bond, and points out that Brad is to going to let the situation drop either, possibly launching his own lawsuit against Mason and the Turners.

No 30: Toadie lets in Matt, who thanks him for agreeing to meet. Matt explains to Toadie that Mason is back and lets him know the outcome of the forensic investigation on the abseiling equipment. Toadie agrees that the results are a setback for Mason, but adds that proving intent is nearly impossible so charges are very unlikely. Matt tells Toadie that Brad is therefore going to sue for sure as he needs someone to blame, and the Turners just can't afford the expenses that are likely to be incurred. He asks Toadie to represent Mason, to be on side as a person they can trust. Toadie agrees, much to Matt's relief.

Charlie's: Paul spots Susan and marches over, asking her where she tethered her moral high horse. Paul confronts Susan about the fact she should be supporting her staff, but Susan replies that technically Kate should have received a formal suspension over her behaviour at work and points out that she is not punishing Kate, but giving her space to take stock of things and sort out her priorities. Paul replies that Kate is a teacher and also has problems that need support, in the same way her students might, but Susan retorts that Kate is out of control, telling him Kate needs a reality check and some tough love.

Harold's Store: Kate comes in and says an awkward hi to Georgia, who is standing at the counter. Kate asks Georgia how she is, Georgia replies she is off to her parents to break the baby news to them. Kate asks if Kyle is going too, although Georgia wonders why he would be, making it clear to Kate that she and Kyle are not getting back together. As Georgia leaves, Toadie bursts in, ordering coffees, although he has to apologise to Kate after noticing she is waiting to be served. Toadie tells Kate that she had the right idea moving off the street as things are going to get messy there. Kate realises it is because of the accident and laments how little attention she has paid to Bailey when he clearly needed support.

No 22: Brad is on the phone, furiously talking to the police, who are not charging Mason. Brad explains to Terese that the equipment was in good working order, but there was no evidence of intent. Imogen, who is sat at the table, secretly smiles to herself, knowing that Mason is in the clear from criminal charges. Terese wonders if it is for the best, enabling the family to focus on Josh rather than the court case, but Brad argues that Mason needs to pay. Standing up, Imogen replies that the fall was an accident and knows as such because she was there. She adds that suing the Turners won't help Josh, although Brad retorts it is not about the money as he wants Mason to learn that when you make a mistake there are always consequences. Imogen urges Terese to make Brad change his mind, but Terese orders Imogen to head off and do her homework. Brad indicates to Terese that he is going to speak to Toadie about a civil case, but Terese urges him to calm down and talk it through properly later before rushing into any decisions.

No 30: Brad asks Toadie if he is joking, after discovering that Toadie is representing the Turners. Brad wonders why Toadie is taking sides, although Toadie replies that it is not about taking sides, urging Brad to consider sitting down all together to discuss through the issues that have arisen since the accident. Toadie tells Brad to carefully consider before launching a lawsuit as it could backfire, leaving the Willis family in a lot of debt. Storming off angrily, Brad realises that Toadie is not going to be able to help the Willis family with their civil case.

Lassiter's Hotel: Mason arrives in reception, having helped a visitor adjust their air conditioning unit. He tells Terese that everything is sorted out and she suggests he leaves early as the hotel is fairly quiet. Mason once again apologises to Terese, explaining that the accident wasn't deliberate, but she tells him that they are not discussing it at work. Just then, Paul walks by, asking Mason and Terese how they are, realising the pair are still frosty towards each other. At that moment, a man comes in looking for Mason and carrying an envelope: Mason signs for it and receives the envelope, horrified to discover that he is being sued by Brad. Terese tries to explain that she only knew Brad was thinking of suing. Paul tells Mason to go home and let the Turners know: he then sarcastically wonders how Terese could deny conflict of interests earlier.

No 32: Lauren shows in Kate, offering her a drink. Kate declines, explaining that she wants to speak to Bailey. As Lauren heads off, Kate apologises to Bailey, telling him that her behaviour had no excuse and that she should have noticed that he was having a hard time too. Kate offers to help Mason or Bailey in any way she can; Bailey thanks her adding that it is nice to know that not everyone hates the family.

Eclipse Apartments - Paul's Penthouse: Kate shows Susan in, Susan telling Kate that if she has been invited there so Kate can change her mind, she is wasting her time. Kate shows Susan to a seat, apologising for her attitude at school. Susan admits she has been worried about Kate and if Kate would open up to her, she would help her if she could. Kate admits she has made many bad decisions over the years and worries that they are all piling on top of her, leaving her wondering what to do. Susan urges Kate to toughen up, reminding her she is young, healthy, has a good career and friends. Reminding Kate that many people would kill to be in her position, Susan explains that her situation is not the end of the world and feeling sorry for herself will not help. Susan suggests Kate begin facing the 'reminders' in life, and tells her locking herself up in the penthouse is doing her no favours. When asked where to start, Susan suggests a cup of tea with a friend.

No 32: Imogen arrives to see Mason, telling him that she has heard about the lawsuit. Imogen apologises, telling Mason that Brad will calm down. Imogen spots that Mason is heading out to the pool and asks to join him, although Mason says that he wants them to keep their distance for a while. Imogen asks why and Mason explains that the families hate each other and he doesn't want to cause any more drama. He tells Imogen they should stop whatever is going on between them, causing Imogen to walk out in disgust.

No 32: A little later, Mason is sitting on the side of the pool when Imogen returns. Imogen tells Mason she won't stay away and force Mason to deal with the situation on his own. Explaining that she wats to be with Mason, and that Mason knows this too, Imogen kisses Mason, telling him that they could keep their relationship a secret from their warring families.
