• Marcia Taylor brings her search for Kim to the media with a tv appeal
• Scott learns Kim has run away from him
• Jim and Scott return home to a welcome from Julie and Helen. Jim leaves to tell the Taylors that Kim has run away

Outdoor swimming pool: Danny is getting diving training from Shane while Shane takes a break from training himself. Danny takes his first dive and Shane really is impressed with his brother’s technique. Max walks back to the pool but is unhappy to see Shane not still in training. Shane encourages Max to watch how good Danny is but the damage is done. With his confidence knocked, Danny’s second dive ends badly. Shane tells max he should encourage Danny as all he wants to do is please his father. Max retorts that he gave Danny a chance 2 years ago and he walked away as it was too tough for him.

The Taylor house - Lounge: Marcia Taylor has just finished her phone call from estranged daughter Kim when Jim arrives with news of her running away again. Marcia explains the call was clear that Kim was not going be returning home. Jim sympathises reassures her the only reason Scott went after Kim was to get her to return home. Jim can only listen when Marcia sobbing, confesses she cannot understand how a child you love so much can hate you so much in return.

No 28 - Lounge: Des has something on his mind as he paces around the room while Daphne reads. She asks what is wrong and he confides that Lorraine has told him she is leaving her job at his branch of the Pacific bank. Daphne questions if him feeling bad about it is down to him wanting her back. Des is adamant he doesn’t and reminds himself he’s a single man again!

No 26 - Lounge: Helen is painting as Jim reads his paper and Julie prepares dinner. Helen mentions to Julie that Lorraine called the house earlier and discussed her transfer to another branch of the Pacific bank – Helen questions why Julie forgot to mention it. Julie dismisses the comment but adds it’s a good thing bearing in mind Des returns to work the following week. Helen teases Julie by wishing Lorraine’s replacement is blonde and beautiful. Jim questions Helen about taking on another art student but Helen jokes she has corrupted Maria enough just as Scott & Paul arrive home from their continued search for Kim but reveal they haven’t found a trace of her yet. Julie however is spoiling for a fight over the boys missing her Sunday lunch – Scott storms off and Paul tells his sister to belt up! Paul explains to Jim & Helen that the conditions in the squats are appalling but it’s so easy to understand how kids can hide out and never be found by disappearing into these communities.

Back street in Melbourne: Kim is sheltering along the side of a back street when she is approached by a prostitute who believes Kim is invading her working patch. The woman threatens Kim to move on and Kim moves on.

No 26 - Back garden: Danny spots Scott digging in the garden and takes a chance to reconcile. But Scott is not ready and before long they are fighting.

No 26 - Lounge: Julie rushes in to tell Jim that she can see Scott and Danny fighting in their back garden. Jim and Paul rush out.

No 26 - Back garden: Max hearing something going on looks over the fence to see the two boys fighting and climbs over to put a stop to it. Jim, Julie, Helen and Paul arrive with Jim and Max pulling the boys apart. Scott and Danny both blame each other for starting the fight before Max sends Danny back over the fence. Helen ushers her grandchildren back into the house and max apologises to Jim. Jim assures him it is just another squabble like they’ve seen the two boys have before - but Max doesn’t hold back calling Danny an idiot moron. Danny however overhears his father from the other side of the fence.

No 24 - Danny's bedroom: Danny is brooding over what his father said about him when Shane comes in to ask if he’d like to come back to train at the pool. Danny has no intention of going and reminds Shane he can do no wrong in Max’s eyes. Shane tries to make Danny understand that he was the one who turned away from continuing with his diving training.

Outdoor swimming pool: Max is giving advice to Shane as he prepares to dive. After Shane hits the water, Max celebrates what a great dive it was – but only while Shane is under water and out of earshot.

No 24 - Lounge: Maria is dusting all of Shane’s diving trophies in the lounge when Danny still brooding interrupts. He wants to go to town, maybe to the movies and Maria suggests he makes up with Scott instead. Danny is defensive about accepting blame and angry at Max blaming him for it all. Maria tries to get Danny to see that maybe if he just let Max see he was sorry, he may get some positive response from his father. Max and Shane arrive home from the pool training and Max is clearly excited still over Shane’s performance and makes comment about how his eldest son is on the way to the Olympics and even made fellow trainer Bert Murphy jealous. Danny takes the chance to apologise to Max for what happened at the Robinsons' – Max is only interested if he has apologised to the Robinsons yet and comments that any other father would have thrown Danny out of home for what he’s done! Maria tires to defend Danny but Max is not having any of it and storms off. Danny reminds Maria he told her Max would not forgive him.

No 26 - Back garden: Scott is kicking around an Aussie Rules ball when Paul comes out to see his brother. Paul tries to reassure Scott that he has no way of knowing if he’s to blame for Kim’s decision to run away but Scott can only blame Danny – Paul fails to get his brother to join him at No.28.

No 28 - Lounge/kitchen: Des and Daphne are talking about her preparing a meal – chicken in beer – for Des to eat while she is out tomorrow night stripping. Des brings up the idea of her maybe changing her job as she is too nice to do what she does. Daphne reminds him she doesn’t go all the way with her routine and the job pays the bills! Des is clearly having difficulties thinking of Daphne as more than just a housemate when Paul arrives and feels he is caught in the middle of some tension. Paul mentions about Kim’s disappearance to Daphne and she comments she knows some people whom maybe able to help find Kim.

No 24 - Lounge: Max is irritated by watching Danny listen to music and mentions to Maria about it. Shane leaves for his night out - Maria reveals it is Daphne he’s seeing.

No 28 - Lounge: Shane arrives to collect Daphne for their dinner date – Des is not impressed with being left alone at home, even if Daphne has cooked for him.

No 26 - Lounge/kitchen: The Robinsons sit down to dinner and Julie enquires why Daphne called Paul. Jim reminds her it is none of her business. The doorbell rings and Lucy races to answer it to be greeted by a priest, Father Kevin Barry. Paul welcomes him into the house and Kevin asks if Paul is ready to leave. After they have gone all the family are puzzled to know why Paul is with a priest.
