• Eileen Clarke arrives as surprise visit and greets Daphne as Lorraine
• Max wants to start diving training with Danny again
• Eileen learns from Julie that Daphne is a stripper

No 28 - Dining table/Kitchen: Eileen still troubled by Julie’s revelation hunts through a bag full of medicine to find a tablet to help her while Des looks on after being called home from work by her. He tries to be sympathetic but the conversation gets around to how he abandoned her in Perth to live in Melbourne. Des asks what was so urgent to get him home and Eileen explains she has been told about Daphne stripping. Des reminds her it is only a way to earn money and has no reflection on who Daphne is. Eileen is only appalled further when she learns he has seen Daphne’s act and calls it moral decadence.

No 24 - Kitchen: Maria puts away some shopping and takes the opportunity to ask if Danny would reconsider diving with Max. Danny tells her he will not, especially after seeing how controlling Max was with Shane. Scott arrives to see if Danny wants to do something and they leave through the laundry.

No 24 - Back garden: Outside Scott reveals he has received a letter from Kim who wants to meet him and has sent detail of where and at what time. Danny asks if he is going to go and Scott tells him yes.

Ramsay Street: Carol is returning home when she sees Eileen. Carol asks after her health and Eileen seems pleased news of her ‘illness’ has spread. Eileen tells her the condition has been brought on by the worries of motherhood and Carol eagerly accepts the chance to gossip to her about Daphne. Quickly the conversation turns to character assassination as Carol tells Eileen all the neighbours are appalled at having a ‘female’ like Daphne living in the street and around children. Eileen tells her she wholly agrees. Carol mentions that ‘steps are being taken’ and relishes when Eileen says she’ll have to do something about it herself too.

No 24 - Danny's room: Danny is doing some homework while Shane reads a magazine on his bed. Danny cannot concentrate and explains how Maria is trying to get him to train with Max. Shane has an idea he wants to discuss about them going into business.

No 24 - Kitchen: Maria and Max are doing the evening meals dishes and discuss the fact Danny won’t do the training. Maria tells her husband to be patient and finish the conversation when Shane & Danny come into the room. They tell their parents they are going out and will be back at 10pm but nothing else.

No 28 - Lounge/Dining table: Des is reading the newspaper when Eileen approaches him with a tape measure and startles him. Eileen tells him she’s going to knit him a jumper to wile away the hours she be spending with him as company. Des assures her Daphne is company enough for him and Eileen comments Daphne is not suitable company for either of them. Daphne arrives with talk of a movie she wants to watch but Eileen excuses herself to go to her room. Daphne questions why Des allows Eileen to get away with comments like she does but Des tells her to think about the fact it is only a holiday and Eileen will soon be gone. Daphne isn’t so sure she can carry on with another day like today of snide comments.

No 26 - Lounge: Scott tries to make a hasty exit from the house but is stopped by Jim asking where he is going. Scott comments no where special and Jim tells him to be back by 9pm. Scott notices a note under the front door and is appalled to read a poison pen letter about Daphne. He gives the note to Helen before leaving and Helen makes reference to Jim that the note calls Daphne immoral, decadent, a harlot & a slut. Jim tells her to just forget about it but Helen is troubled by it.

Squat house: Scott arrives at an abandoned house being used as a squat and is nervous as he walks around in the dark past a fire and a group of squatters.

No 28 - Doorway/Lounge: Des is shocked by seeing Julie arrive and the news that Eileen has invited her over. Eileen tries to match make them sitting on the sofa together but Des has no intention of playing any games and sits on the chair. Eileen mentions she and Julie met over coffee and how Julie discussed Lorraine & him. When Eileen jokes about Julie nearly being her daughter-in-law, Des decides he has to get out of the house. Eileen tells Julie she believes Julie still has feeling for Des. Julie doesn’t deny it, giggling like a schoolgirl.

Squat house: Scott tries to warm himself by the fire after waiting for Kim. Realising she isn’t going to show he decides to go home.

Ramsay Street/No 28 - Driveway: Paul and Daphne return from dinner joking about the waiter being unable to understand Paul’s request for lemon when Paul spots graffiti about Daphne written in spray paint across No 28’s garage door. Paul tries to comfort her but Daphne is furious & upset that such a small part of her life is the focus of such hatred.

No 26 - Kitchen: Helen and Jim wait for Scott as it is now past 10pm and Jim decides to call Max in case he’s with Danny.

No 24 - Lounge: Max answers the call and explains that Danny and Shane went out earlier so Scott isn’t there.

No 26 - Kitchen: Jim apologises for calling so late and tells Helen he suspects Scott could be with Danny and Shane.

No 24 - Lounge/kitchen: Maria comes out asking after who called and Max explains it was Jim looking for Scott. Max too suspects their sons are out with Scott and in some sort of trouble. Max is determined to find out what.

No 26 - Lounge: Jim comes off the phone to another of Scott’s friends but with no luck. Scott walks in and Jim is angry. Scott explains he received a letter from Kim and that he went to meet her but she didn’t show. Jim’s anger turns to support when he realises Scott’s feelings.

No 24 - Kitchen/lounge: Danny and Shane sneak in thinking their parents are in bed but Max is there ready to ‘greet’ them with Maria. Max wants to know where they’ve been but Shane sticks to his story they went for a walk.

No 26 - Kitchen: All the Robinson family are having breakfast as Julie recounts her evening with Eileen and how Eileen dislikes Daphne. Helen brings up the poison pen letter and shows it to Paul who mentions the garage graffiti last night. Helen notices Julie’s reaction is one of glee upon reading the note.

No 28 - Dining table: Des complains to Eileen about the amount of food she has cooked for him at breakfast. Eileen brings up the subject of Julie but Des assures her whatever Julie’s feelings for him, he is not interested in her. Eileen mentions she has no intention of interfering either now or in the future. Des reminds her she is going back to Perth soon so she’ll have little chance to dabble in his future anyway. But Eileen reveals she has decided to instruct an agent to sell her house so she can move down to live with him permanently.
