Channel Seven: 17/04/85 BBC One: 26/11/86 UK Gold: 02/12/92

Recap
• Shane suggests that he and Danny go into business together
• Scott expresses how scared he is for Kim living in the conditions he saw
• Eileen reveals she is intending to sell her home to move in with Des permanently

No 24 - Danny's room/hallway: Danny is concerned at being able to continue to hide what he and Shane are up to but Shane tells him to act normal and all will be fine.

No 24 - Kitchen: Shane & Danny make idle chat to Max & Maria before they go out. After they leave Maria can’t believe Max never questioned where they ere going. Max tells her he doesn’t have to as he’s going to follow them.

No 26 - Kitchen: Julie introduces her brothers & sister to Eileen and Jim asks Eileen to join them for coffee. Eileen keeps calling Paul by the name David and Julie delivers the news that Eileen is moving in with Des permanently. Helen & Jim are curious to know how Des feels about it but Eileen dismisses any of Des’s concerns. The phone rings and Scott eagerly answers to find Kim on the line.

No 26 - Hallway: Scott takes the phone to the hallway to talk privately and asks why Kim never showed up last night. It is clear Kim is asking him to meet her again but this time with some money.

Street: Danny and Shane continue on their way aware that Max is trying to follow them and pretend to challenge each other to a run. Max follows

Building site: The boys try to shake Max off by running through the site of house being built but Max despite being out of breath follows.

Street: The boys emerge from the house and run past a land auction sign. Max appears and looks down the street but realises his lost them. From behind the sign, Shane & Danny cling onto it until Max walks past.

No 28 - Lounge: Eileen tells Des she met the Robinson’s earlier amazed at how she knows so much about their family history but he is appalled to find her knitting baby clothes for his future. Daphne comes into the room and Des gets up ready for them to go out. Eileen makes comment to Daphne about her moving in but Daphne assures her it won’t put her out at all. Eileen struggles that Des is going with Daphne to a stripping job and pretends she has another chest pain, begging Des to get her tablets and not leave her alone. Wise to his mother’s games, Des calls Dr. Murray to visit and mentions to Eileen that it was Daphne’s idea to put the doctor on standby in case something happened so she could be admitted to hospital when needed. Daphne makes reference that it should help them all live happily together by looking out for each other. Daphne leaves and Eileen is furious she has been outwitted.

No 24 - Lounge: Max wants to know where his sons are and Maria angry makes it clear to him it is because they don’t trust him anymore he doesn’t know. Max cannot understand how things have got to this point; after all, they are all family.

No 28 - Doorway/Lounge: Dr Murray finishes his examination of Eileen giving her a clean bill of health despite Eileen’s claims. Dr Murray asks to see her in his surgery on Monday and Des agrees he’s more than happy to drive her there. After the doctor leaves Des decides it is time he went to meet Daphne. Alone Eileen throws a cushion in frustration, vowing that Daphne has to go!

Ramsay Street: Daphne meets Shane after finishing a run. Daphne questions why he has been avoiding her recently but Shane seems less then eager to arrange a meet up. Daphne susses he’s not interested and continues her jog to the house.

No 28 - Danny's bedroom: Scott tells Danny he has no choice but to get $50 to Kim to try and help her get out of the place she’s staying in.

No 26 - Kitchen: Daphne tells Helen that Eileen has decided to take a dislike to her and mentions the graffiti and crank phone call she’s been receiving as well. Helen brings up the poison pen letter and how many of the neighbours have received similar notes. Daphne asks to read it but Helen mentions that Paul has it. Helen assures her no one thinks of her like that but Daphne blames they way Shane just treated her for exactly those reasons. Daphne decides to leave as Scott arrives home and Helen’s attention is directed to Scott, telling him Jim is in the lounge if he wants him.

No 26 - Lounge: Jim is reading the TV guide but decides he’ll do some gardening instead. Jim senses Scott wants to talk and Scott asks if he was to work doing chores could he earn $50. Jim agrees it could but Scott sees it as a definite and asks for the money in advance. Jim refuses to pay in advance and give that sort of money to him without knowing what it is for. Scott refuses to tell him what he does need the money for.

No 26 - Back garden: Jim is trying to do some gardening when Max asks if they can talk. Despite their recent differences Jim asks his friend what is it he wants to talk about in confidence. Max explains how he feels let down by his sons lack of trust of him and Jim advises he should take the time to listen rather than talk at his sons.

No 28 - Lounge/kitchen: Eileen greets Carol who immediately mentions how she saw Dr. Murray leave earlier. Eileen blames Daphne’s interference and Carol sympathises. Eileen is incensed that even now Des is out with Daphne at the beach - Carol assures her steps are being taken to force Daphne to move away.

No 26 - Kitchen: Scott tells Paul he is going out and asks to borrow $50. Paul is unhappy at doing so but agrees to help his brother. Scott asks him to keep silent about the loan as he leaves to meet Kim.

No 26 - Driveway: Scott armed with the money, is keen to get to see Kim but is stopped by Jim returning home from having a beer with Max next door. Scott admits he was off to see Kim but Jim refuses to let him go back to the squat.

No 28 - Lounge: Eileen is enjoying watching a TV quiz show while eating chocolates until she hears Des returning home and hides the chocolates, turns the TV off and lies on the sofa pretending she is still weak with illness. Des comes in and kissing his mothers cheek he smells she has been eating chocolate – Eileen mentions she eat just the one to take away the taste of the tablets. Des informs her that she’ll no longer need to take them as her tests from Dr. Murray prove she has nothing wrong with her. Des takes Eileen’s tablets from the coffee table to wash them down the toilet. Eileen curses Daphne.

No 26 - Kitchen: Julie is reading a note with some enjoyment when Paul arrives and sensing what it could be demands to see it. Julie refuses but Paul snatches it from her to see it is another poison pen letter about Daphne. Paul agrees Julie is not the culprit but is determined to find out who it is.

No 26 - Lounge: Scott answers a phone call and it is Kim again. Scott explains he has the money and agrees to meet up with her. Scott tells her he loves her.
