Recap
• Scott and Danny pack food for the concert
• Maria assures Max that she won't move Richard into the Ramsay house
• Danny prepares to drive Richard's car
• Danny crashes Richard's car into a pile of boxes

No 26: Jim returns home, with a tyre from Max's garage, and asks Maria if she'll be joining the family for the Chinese night at the coffee shop, but she's planning to spend some time with Richard. Helen tries to change her mind, but she leaves, with a box of junk, from Jim, to pass on to Max. Helen says that Jim and Max are both being very childish, and then says that Maria has asked them over for dinner, to meet Richard properly. Jim says that he'd be happy to go, and Helen suspects it's because of the feud with Max - Jim says that it's Danny he feels sorry for, having to put up with Max's rude behaviour for so many years. Helen thinks that the feud has gone on for long enough, as other people are starting to get affected, and Jim agrees that he won't do anything else to antagonise his former friend.

Country Road: Richard, Danny and Scott are returning home, with Richard now driving, following the accident. Danny says it was a great concert - and it's a pity about the headlight getting cracked, or they could have stayed until after dark. Nobody says anything, and Danny wonders what he has to do, and how many times he has to say sorry - eventually, in unison, Richard and Scott both tell him to shut up.

No 28 - Lounge: Terry is getting ready to go out, for the Chinese night at Wally's coffee shop, while Des sits on the couch, eating fish and chips. Eileen then appears on the doorstep, with her possessions, and asks Terry to help her with them - Des stops Terry from doing anything, and demands to know what's going on. Eileen says that she didn't think that she'd be able to move everything at once, when the time comes to move in, so she's doing it a little at a time. She completely ignores Des, as he says that he doesn't need her to move in and that it won't work out, and she starts to hand over bags, boxes and baskets to Des and Terry.

Ramsay Street: Maria is walking up the street when Richard's car drives up. She's excited to hear about the concert, until she sees the broken headlight. She becomes angry, thinking that Danny did it on purpose, and tells him that he's staying in for dinner with her and Richard tonight - and he's grounded for a month with no pocket money. She asks Richard inside for dinner, then hits Danny around the head and tells him to learn some manners before he comes in to join them.

No 28 - Lounge/Nightclub: Terry brings in the last of Eileen's things, and is about to leave for the Robinson house, when the phone rings. It's Charles Durham again, calling from a nightclub. He hears Des and Eileen arguing in the background, and he already knows their names and who they are. Terry tells him not to call her again, and threatens to call the police, but Charles says that she won't do that, as she'd be in just as much trouble as the rest of them. They both hang up.

No 26 - Lounge: Terry arrives at the door - with a hose that Max left on the doormat - and Jim is furious, and getting sick of Max's behaviour. Terry tries to defend Max, but Jim's had enough - Helen, however, says that she doesn't want to hear anymore about it.

No 24 - Kitchen: Richard is trying to defend Danny, saying that it really seemed like a genuine accident, but Maria doesn't think that her son deserves to be defended at the moment. Danny shouts from the couch, asking when dinner is ready - and he says that he'll cook his own if he has to, but he'll need to be able to get into the kitchen first. Richard holds Maria back as she attempts to attack her son with a salad fork. They hug, just as Danny comes in and complains. Maria suggests that he goes to clean his room or do his homework, and eventually allows him to go to the Chinese night with the Robinsons.

Wally's Coffee Shop: The Robinsons, plus Danny, place their order with Scott, who goes to get them some drinks. They all open their fortune cookies, and Danny and Julie read out their jokes. Wally then comes over to introduce himself to Jim, and gives a few compliments about Scott. Scott turns up with the drinks, and Wally says that there's always a job for him at the coffee shop when he leaves school - though Jim says that won't be for a while yet.

No 24 - Lounge: Maria is seeing Richard to the door, disappointed that he has to leave so early. He explains that he has to get the car to a garage - and he doesn't want to get caught in another argument when Danny returns. They hug, and he says that he's scared of losing her. Maria closes the door and kisses him, telling him that she doesn't want him to leave yet.

Wally's Coffee Shop: Jim finishes his meal, and tells Scott to give his compliments to the chef. Scott is delighted that Wally mentioned giving him a job when he leaves school, but Jim says they'll have to discuss it further when the time comes. Julie then says that it's time for them all to be going home, as Lucy is out past her bedtime and has school tomorrow. Danny doesn't want to leave yet, but Jim agrees with Julie, and asks Scott for the bill.

No 28:Eileen finishes dusting the television set, while Des is trying to watch it, and then says that she should get back to her unit now. She drops hints about how cold it is, and that hopefully she'll find a taxi, before Des finally gives in and offers her a lift home. She is very grateful, and says that she'll return the favour by coming over first thing in the morning to cook him a full breakfast.

Wally's Coffee Shop: Wally and Scott are cleaning up, and Wally declares the Chinese night a success. He mentions that he has to go away for a few days, and he's found someone to cover during the days, but wondered if Scott might like to run the place in the evenings. Scott's delighted with the offer, and agrees to do it.

No 26 - Lounge: Jim tells Helen that his mum called earlier - she's in Singapore and won't be able to come to the wedding. Helen says that Bess's life makes hers seem very mundane, though Jim doesn't agree and thinks his mother is just embarrassing. Helen mentions that Laura sent a telegram and will definitely be coming. Jim then decides to go to bed, and says that he'll just have to speak to Scott in the morning.

No 28: Eileen is in the kitchen, and Des is complaining about all of her stuff and where they're going to put it - she, however, thinks that he has too much junk, and that's the problem here. She answers the door to Julie, who's brought over a shirt that she mended for Des. She notices his bad mood and says that he needs a good breakfast - Eileen is in the kitchen cleaning some pots to make the breakfast. Julie drags Des to the fridge, and is appalled to find that it's mostly full of beer. She suggests an omelette, but Eileen thinks it has too much cholesterol and suggests fried tomatoes on toast. The two women continue to discuss it, as Des takes one of the beers and says that they've both driven him to drink.

No 26 - Kitchen: Jim is surprised to hear about the car accident, particularly as Danny didn't say anything last night at dinner, and is worried that, when Max hears about it, he'll suspect that Scott had something to do with it. Jim is then shocked to hear that Scott will be running the coffee shop next week, and tells his son that his homework should be taking priority. They start to argue about it, but Scott has made up his mind and won't be swayed.

Ramsay Street - No 24 Driveway: Maria is watering the garden as Danny leaves for school. She tells him that he'll be late, but his first period is free study, so he isn't worried. Maria reminds him that she's already upset about Richard's car, so Danny shouldn't irritate her any further. Danny reminds his mother that it was an accident, but Maria suspects that Danny was just showing off - Danny doesn't see the problem, as Richard's insurance will cover it, but then he says that, if she's that bothered, he'll leave school and get a job to pay for the damage. Maria isn't sure that Max would approve of that. Danny points out that if Max was that interested, he might have been around to give him some driving lessons - Maria tries to defend Max, and has had enough of Danny's rudeness.

No 28 - Lounge: Eileen and Julie are plotting ways to help Des, and Eileen then produces a roster, planning out his day for him. Des comes out of his room as they're looking at the roster, and starts shouting that he's had enough. Julie decides that this is her cue to leave, and Eileen declares that she won't talk to Des when he's in this sort of mood, so she goes to do the washing. Des then picks up his address book, looks up Daphne's new number and calls her, asking her to move back in.
