Recap
• Daphne is annoyed when Zoe buys more scratch cards
• Max tells Madge to stop working for Clive - she says that she'll do what she likes at number 24, as she owns the house
• Daphne is angry that Zoe has wasted all of her winnings, but ends up forgiving her again

No 28: Des is surprised to get up and find that Zoe has bought flowers and fresh fruit juice, and she says that as it's their last day of freedom, she's going to spoil them. Daphne then joins them, but is embarrassed as Zoe tells her to sit down and gaze into Des's eyes. As Zoe returns to the kitchen, Des and Daphne realise that she's desperately trying to impress them as she wants to stay on at the house. Des says that she can't, and Zoe overhears and realises that they want her out. She says that she'll find somewhere whilst they're on their honeymoon, but Daphne says that she'd rather have it all sorted out before the wedding. Zoe then says that she's had a great idea and she rushes out of the house.

Ramsay Street: Zoe goes over and introduces herself to Clive, who's dressed as a chicken and has been out at work all night. She asks if he's ever thought about getting a housemate - like her - but he explains that his house sharing days are long gone. She tries to change his mind, but he says that there's no way and he goes into the house. Zoe then puts on the chicken head and follows him in.

No 28: Des and Daphne are having breakfast, and they realise that it's been ages since they've had any time to themselves. Daphne says that, once the wedding is over, people will leave them alone and they'll just have each other - until the babies come along. Des is surprised to hear Daphne talking about having children, as they'd never discussed it, but they both agree that they'd like to have kids. Daphne says that she'd like three children, and Des tells her that sounds perfect. Eileen then bursts in on their intimate conversation and asks Des where he'll be staying tonight, as he can't see Daphne before the wedding. Zoe then returns and tells Des that he could sleep in her room at Clive's, as she's just done a deal with him and will be moving across the street. Des and Daphne don't look too impressed.

Ramsay Street: Paul is walking home, after going for a swim, and Clive tries to make small talk with him, but then asks him directly for his opinion on Zoe. Paul says that he doesn't have time to gossip - Clive insists that he just wants Paul's opinions, not the dirt on her. Paul rudely brushes him off, and Clive comments that he thought neighbours were supposed to help each other. Paul tells him that if he spent less time gossiping, they'd all be better off.

Daphne's Coffee Shop: Daphne is working when Des phones, asking her to meet him in the park in ten minutes. She's reluctant to go, but tells Mike that he's in charge and she'll be back in ten minutes.

Park: Daphne finds Des standing by the swings, and asks him what's wrong. He tells her that he loves her, and they kiss. She's relieved to realise that he isn't backing out of the wedding, as he tells her that he's actually feeling guilty about kicking Zoe out. He thinks that Daphne should give Zoe a job at the Coffee Shop, but Daphne says that she's already struggling to pay Mike's wages. Des suggests that she could employ Zoe for the week they're away on their honeymoon, but Daphne points out that maybe they should both just stop worrying about everyone else and focus on each other. Des tells her that, until she has to go back to work in five minutes, they can be the only two people in the world.

Daphne's Coffee Shop: Daphne returns, alarmed to find that the shop has been locked up. She quickly goes inside and checks that the money is still in the till.

Daphne's Coffee Shop: Zoe is helping Daphne run the shop when Mike finally returns. He apologises and says that he had an urgent phone call, and Zoe notices a bruise on his face. He assumes that he's been fired and goes to leave, but Daphne tells him to forget about it, and they can make a fresh start. Mike thanks her, and insists that he isn't up to anything dodgy, and Daphne then gets Mike and Zoe back to work.

Robinson Warner Engineering: Jim is surprised when Paul comes to visit him at work. Paul claims that he was just passing, and says that Des wants to stay the night, so that he doesn't see Daphne before the wedding. Jim asks Paul if he'd like to have a look around the factory, but Paul doesn't want to intrude and says that he should get going. Jim reminds Paul that there's a job at the engineering company whenever he wants it - Paul tells his father that he'd love to say yes, just to make him happy, but he honestly isn't interested. Paul leaves and a disappointed Jim goes back inside.

Daphne's Coffee Shop: Daphne is trying to close up, but Mike is still sweeping the floor and Zoe is complaining that she's exhausted and can barely walk. She says that she'll be unemployed again soon anyway. Mike offers Daphne luck with the wedding the next day, and she offers him luck with whatever his problem is. He says that it's nothing, just some family dramas, and Daphne and Zoe go on ahead, leaving Mike to lock up. He stops for a moment, then returns to the shop and unlocks the door, going back inside and sitting in the dark.

No 28: Des and Daphne are passionately kissing as they prepare to spend the night apart - as Eileen looks on, eyebrow raised. At the dining table, Clive and Paul are waiting for Des and Daphne to part lips, so that they can go over to number 26 and start his buck's night. Clive suggests that he and Paul just got off on the wrong foot and that they should call a truce for the sake of the happy couple. They shake hands, and then Paul tells Des to hurry up. After one final kiss, Des leaves Daphne.

No 26: Des, Jim and Paul are sitting around, drinking coffee, when Clive comes in with a couple of bottles of champagne. Des is very grateful, but doesn't particularly like it as he takes a sip.

No 28: Eileen is preparing to leave, to walk home to her unit, but suddenly announces that she's been speaking to Zoe and she thinks that Daphne is a wonderful woman and is going to make 'Desmond' very, very happy. She pulls an alarmed Daphne in for a hug, and then leaves. Daphne joins Zoe on the sofa, wondering what that was all about, and Zoe agrees that Daphne will make Des happy - because she'll have an awful lot of explaining to do if she doesn't.

No 26: The men are all having a wonderful time as Clive tells them story about his work as a chook-a-gram. However, when he tells them about a man who'd been stood up by his bride on their wedding day, Des's face drops and he says that he needs to go and get some fresh air. Paul is furious, and says that Des has been jilted four times, and he didn't need Clive to rub it in.

No 28: Daphne is telling Zoe how much she loves Des, and Zoe says that Des loves her too.

. . .

No 26/No 28: Des is trying to sneak back into the house, and finds that Jim is waiting up for him, wanting to be sure that he's OK. Des says that what Clive said got him thinking, and he's worried that he and Daphne might be rushing into the wedding. He says that seeing how bitter Paul has become, and all this talk of bad luck, has made him think that they should have waited. Jim agrees that Paul rushed into things, but says that he and Anne waited to get married, and he now regrets it. Des realises that there's no perfect solution, and Jim suggests that it might help if he gave Daphne a call now. Jim then heads off to bed, telling Des that he's doing the right thing, and Des makes the call. He apologises for waking Daphne up, and tells her that he loves her, before asking if he can come over. Daphne points out that it's after midnight and they have to do this properly, so he says that he'll let her get back to bed. Before he hangs up, Daphne says that she loves him too, and he smiles.
