Recap
• Shane learns that he's definitely lost his job
• Zoe finds that Mike forgot to empty the till, but doesn't see him asleep in the shop
• Jim reports that Scott was accused of rape before he went missing
• Paul accuses Jim of having ridiculously high standards for his children

No 24: Max and Madge are having tea and cake, as Shane walks in. Max asks why he isn't at work, and is furious to learn that he's been fired. He says that it wasn't Shane's fault, but Madge points out that Shane should have asked before borrowing the limo. She then wants to know when Shane is going to start job hunting - he explains that it's going to be difficult, as Fielding Enterprises didn't give him a reference. Max is furious again. He complains that he has one son who's unemployed, one who's probably about to be, and a sister who needs to be fed.

No 26: Daphne calls by to see Helen, saying that she decided that she had to stop hiding away. She explains that she just didn't want to run the risk of bumping into Des, but Helen says that nobody's seen Des since the wedding. Wanting a change of subject, she asks when Scott is due back, and Helen explains that he's gone missing. Daphne is surprised to hear this, as Scott is usually so reliable, which gets her back onto the subject of Des - she's annoyed that he hasn't even tried to call her, to talk things through. Helen says that he did call, and he spoke to Eileen, but Daphne can't believe that Helen is defending Des after what he's done. She grows increasingly upset and says that Des could have contacted the Robinsons or the Ramsays if he genuinely cared about finding out how she was, but now she never wants to see him again.

No 28: A dishevelled Des walks in the front door - he finds a pile of suitcases by the bedroom door, but nobody home. He looks at himself in the mirror, then sits down, before realising that the tap in the kitchen is dripping. He tries to stop it, but the dripping continues.

No 26: Daphne apologises to Helen, who says that sometimes a good cry is the best thing. Daphne wonders what she's going to do if she runs into Des, and starts to wonder if she should just move away. Des then knocks on the back door and calls out, and Daphne, despite Helen's advice, decides to leave and asks Helen not to tell Des where she is. Helen then calls Des inside, and he immediately asks if she knows where Daphne has gone. Helen doesn't answer, instead asking him where he's been for the past two days - he says that he needed time to think, so he stayed at the honeymoon suite they'd booked. He says that he needs to apologise, but Helen starts ranting about him about breaking Daphne's heart, and that if he had any backbone at all, he would have come back straight away to get her side of the story. She then says that she knows where Daphne is, but she can't tell him - and frankly, she doesn't think that he deserves to know anyway.

No 24: Madge and Shane are washing up, when the phone rings. Max rushes to answer, hoping it's a plumbing job, and laughs at the caller, asking why they can't just fix it on their own. Madge says that he shouldn't be so rude to customers, but he tells her that it was Des - Shane is surprised to hear that he's home, and quickly leaves to see him. Madge then lectures Max on getting his priorities straight, saying that he shouldn't be turning down any work, as he still owes her a lot of money.

No 28: Shane arrives on Des's doorstep and Des, in the middle of shaving, answers but says that, if Shane has just come over to have a go, then he doesn't want to know. Shane starts to fix the tap, but says that it wasn't a very nice way to treat Daphne - Des just comments that now the way is clear for Shane to get back together with her. Des then accuses Shane of trying to split up him and Daphne, though Shane says that it was Des's actions that did it in the end. He tells Des that he's got some explaining to do when he sees Daphne, and then leaves - Des then notices that the tap is still dripping.

No 26: Helen is sketching Madge, and they're talking about Max. Madge feels that he should have tried harder when his marriage ended, but Helen says that Max did a lot to support Maria and the boys, and it's left him financially stretched now. Madge is surprised to hear this, and comments that men usually just run off with a younger woman when the marriage ends. Helen asks Madge if she's speaking from personal experience - Madge admits that she always believed that she and Fred were meant for each other, and she didn't find out about his other woman until it was too late. She explains that Charlene and Henry took it well, but she's finding it hard to think of herself as a single woman after 20 years of marriage. Helen asks what her plans are, but Madge isn't sure, so Helen brings up Douglas Blake, and says that she has something to keep them both occupied for the moment. She shows Madge a cheque which she received for the sale of one of her paintings, and says that they're going to use the funds to get even with Douglas.

No 28: Max has arrived to fix the tap, but it soon descends into an argument when Des suggests that maybe the whole robbery was staged by the Ramsay family, so that Daphne wouldn't get married and Shane could have her. Max then walks out, declaring that Shane is worth two of Des.

No 22: Shane is telling Daphne about his earlier run-in with Des, and she asks where he's been for the past few days. Shane suspects that he went to the honeymoon suite, and Daphne is furious, but says that only Des could go on the honeymoon without the bride. She continues to rant about it, before Shane finally makes her see the funny side, and she smiles.

Ramsay Street: Shane is leaving the house, just as Clive returns home - Shane confirms that Daphne has calmed down a little bit now. They both talk about losing their jobs due to this whole mess, and Shane says that the only things he knows how to do are diving, driving and gardening. This gives Clive an idea, and he declares that their new business will be called RAGGS - Ramsay and Gibbons Gardening Services. Shane isn't quite as keen, but agrees to think about it. Clive then produces a box of shoes from the car, and declares that his other new idea is tapagrams, who tap out messages to people in morse code.

No 24: Max has been showing his accounts to Madge, complaining about how he's always got more going out than he has coming in. Madge tells him that she received a letter from Tom today, and asks if Max is behind on his payments to him too. Max admits that he is, but says that Tom can afford it, and explains that he lost his driver's licence a few months ago, then he had to keep the house running for Maria and the boys, so he's had little chance to make any money - Max is very surprised when Madge then agrees with him and shows some sympathy. She says that she's going to suspend the debt and he can just pay her whenever he has it, and she apologises if she's been a bit abrupt lately, but explains that she's had problems of her own to deal with.

No 22: Clive is busy painting a sign for the new gardening business, as Daphne goes through the box of shoes and says that they're all size 10, and he's going to struggle to find female tap dancers with feet that size. Clive isn't really listening, and is talking about how successful the new business will be. When Daphne suddenly mentions Des, she decides that she needs to go and speak to him, and get back some of her belongings.

No 28: Des has been unable to fix the tape, and it's now wrapped in a towel. He's covering it in cling film too, when there's a knock at the door, and he's surprised to see Daphne on the doorstep.

No 24: Max is surprised to see Madge emerge from the bedroom with a suitcase packed, and he tells her that she'll always be welcome back for a visit. She then explains to him that she'll only be gone for one night, leaving Max and Shane wondering exactly what she's up to. Once Madge has gone, Shane decides to tell Max about Clive's suggestion for a gardening business - Max is furious and says that Clive's a maniac and there's no loyalty in the Ramsay family these days. He warns Shane that Clive is not to be trusted.

No 28: Des is trying to apologise to Daphne, but she says that she's ready to move on, as it's obvious that he never trusted her. She decides that there's no point in talking, and that they just need to work out what to do about the furniture. Des says that he'd hoped she might change her mind and come back, but Daphne starts to get upset and says that she hasn't got time for this.
