After a stray cat started appearing at 22 Ramsay Street, Elle Robinson did her best to get rid of it, as she struggled to form meaningful relationships with humans, never mind animals. But as the cat continued to turn up, and Elle started to feed it, she grew attached, naming it simply 'Cat' and using it as a sounding board whenever she had any problems she needed to discuss. Following Elle's departure for New York, Cat filled a similar role in the life of troubled teenager Tash Williams, who lived across the street.
