After Karl Kennedy suddenly fired Cameron Hodder from his job working at the Erinsborough Medical Centre, Cameron decided to sue for unfair dismissal. During the arbitration hearing, mediator Julian Day listened to evidence from Toadie Rebecchi, representing Karl, and Annabelle Mann, representing Cameron. Things seemed to be going well for Cameron, and it looked like Karl would have to pay compensation, until Toadie produced a letter from one of Cameron’s former employers, showing him to be unreliable, and Cameron lost his temper, blurting out that Karl had only fired him because things didn’t work out in his relationship with Karl’s daughter, Libby. Cameron immediately realised he’d put his foot in it, but Toadie then stated that Karl would only pay Cameron the wages he was owed, which everyone was forced to agree on.
