Producer of 3EE radio station’s Brainbusters quiz, Dave Dempsey realised that contestant Lance Wilkinson was proving to be good for ratings. Dave called Lance and arranged to meet him at home, where he explained to Lance that he was very popular, encouraging him to watch sci-fi series Cosmosis before his next appearance on the quiz. Sure enough, all of the questions were on Cosmosis and Lance qualified for the next round, with plenty of encouragement from Dave along the way. However, when quiz presenter Glen Goldman gave Lance the questions for the next round, it was one step too far. Having successfully answered the questions live on air, Lance then took the opportunity to expose the corruption, before walking out of the studio.

Notes: Jasper Bagg previously played Muzz in 1987 and Rod MacKenzie in 1992. He returned to Neighbours in 2005 in the guest role of Terry White.
