When Byron Stone was walking Trevor the dog in the park one day, a woman named Alyssa Gavalas immediately recognised Trevor as her family's missing dog, Bodie. As Trevor seemed to know her, and she knew about a mole under his ear, Byron took her number and agreed to talk to Trevor's owner, Byron's housemate Haz Devkar. Haz had taken Trevor home from the rescue centre seven months earlier and the pair had become very attached to each other, so when he heard what had happened, he refused to acknowledge that Alyssa could be telling the truth. When Alyssa called, he told her that she had the wrong number, and then he asked his friends to remove any pictures of Trevor from their social media, and stopped taking him out during the day. After a while, he realised that it wasn't fair on Trevor to continue the way they were, and he called Alyssa. She asked if she could meet him, and she explained that her six-year-old son, Max, had been given the dog by his grandmother just before she died. Max was desperately missing his pet, and refused to let his parents get rid of the dog bed, hopeful that he would return one day. When Haz heard this, he decided that he couldn't cope with the guilt of keeping the little boy apart from his dog and he agreed to return Trevor to his family, with Max delighted at the reunion. Trevor was unhappy back with his old family, however, and Haz was suffering just as much. When Trevor ran away from the Gavalas family and turned up at no. 32 Ramsay Street, Haz had to say his goodbyes again when Alyssa and her husband, George, came to collect him. Seeing how hard he was finding it, Haz's housemate Mackenzie contacted George, planning to suggest a shared custody arrangement, but George admitted that the dog was miserable, not wanting to play and constantly trying to escape from the garden. He said that the only solution was for Trevor to go back to Haz, and Mackenzie then reunited pet and owner.
