When Janae Timmins ran away from home to return to Colac and find her father, Kim, she was shocked as she began to realise that her mother, Janelle, had lied about Kim’s dalliances with other women. Janae went to see Kim’s parents, but found that they were away on holiday and instead spoke to their housekeeper, Nancy Glasser. Nancy explained that Kim had been at the house briefly the year before, but she hadn’t seen him since. Realising how distressed Janae was, Nancy decided to sit her down for a chat. She explained that, when Kim married Janelle, his parents had cut him off from his inheritance, and had always hoped that the marriage wouldn’t last. Nancy went on to explain that Janelle had always resented that fact and made life hell for Kim as a result, and that Kim loved his kids more than anything and would never have left unless Janelle had forced him out.
