One Year Ago - August 2002

Lots of secrets are uncovered this month, with varying results, while the return of an old face brings danger for Steph...

• After a mix-up with lemonade and cleaning fluid bottles, Connor poisons Michelle and is forced to admit his illiteracy to her. Afterwards, he disappears, unaware of how accepting she is of the situation

• Steph gets closer to Stuart during Flick's absence and the couple share a kiss after which things are awkward. Mitch Foster also returns and frames Steph for a robbery at Moco. She eventually tracks him down and is cleared of the crime

• Boyd and Cecile are discovered looking after Roxy the fox and she is taken away. Harold helps them get Roxy rehoused in an animal park, rather than put down

• Penny realises that Darcy has been messing around with her sister, Sindi and tells him it's over. She then lodges a complaint about him to the medical board and a full investigation is launched, leaving Darcy infamous in the neighbourhood and requiring a female chaperone during consultations with women

• Harold overhears Nina singing while she is cleaning the Coffee Shop and tells her what a fantastic voice she has, though she doesn't believe him

• After his mother's death, Saxon stays with Harold. His father, Roger Garvey, arrives, intent on taking Saxon away, though he refuses to go at first, eventually agreeing to a boarding school in Sydney

• The distance between Susan and Karl widens as she relies more and more on Craig Benson and Libby. Susan eventually shocks Karl by asking him for a divorce

• Rosie's son, Max, arrives in Erinsborough after hearing about Summer's heart condition. Rosie talks him into staying around for the sake of the children, and he rents out number 32 for the three of them




Five Years Ago - August 1998

There is more than one complicated romantic entanglement and two young Ramsay Street residents go missing, but not together...


• Drew becomes involved with Sandy, a mysterious customer at the garage. Drew is shocked when Sandy's husband Tim turns up at the pub and punches him

• Libby goes on a horse-riding trip to Carrington Bend but a phone-call home reveals that she has gone missing. While Susan and Karl travel down there to search, it is revealed that Libby has infact gone away with her new boyfriend, uni lecturer Mike Healey

• Hannah is finding it difficult to bond with her new step-mum, Ruth and so the Martins go away on a camping trip, during which Hannah also goes missing

• Anne develops a close friendship with eccentric local woman, Lily Madigan, whose home is being threatened by developers

• After arguments about the pub, things get more personal between Lou and the Bishops as Lou claims that Madge and Harold's driveway is actually part of his land

• After the dramas with Libby, Karl and Susan get closer again and finally seem to be making progress towards repairing their marriage. As the couple get back together, Libby is still very bitter about her father's involvement with Sarah, refusing to forgive him

• Joel makes the surprising confession that he has a crush on Libby after living with her at the Kennedy place

• Sarah begins receiving mysterious gifts, with no idea who they are coming from. She also begins seeing Alex Fenton from the hospital, while Toadie gets closer to his girlfriend Karen Oldman. Toadie is shocked to learn that Karen is cheating on him with Alex - but Sarah seems less concerned, as she begins to worry that Alex may be her stalker

• Phil inherits a horse called Karma and a cart from an old client. He is forced to dress up as a clown when he books a children's party




Ten Years Ago - August 1993

A marriage is falling apart, one resident is the victim of an obsession while a new face brings back painful memories for a current resident...

• Phil and Julie's marriage continues to break down, with Hannah feeling particularly neglected. As Annalise spreads rumours about Phil and Beth, the pressure becomes too much for Julie, who takes an overdose

• Cathy Alessi returns and tries to convince Rick to go back to Sydney with her, as she is worried that he isn't coping well on his own. He refuses, so Cathy compromises by arranging for him to stay with Lou

• Cheryl continues to pursue Lou and refuses to take no for an answer

• Phoebe struggles to look after Hope, Stephen and the Coffee Shop and falls asleep one day while there alone, leading to a robbery, which she desperately tries to conceal from her husband

• Darren continues to lead Debbie astray, making her his accomplice in stealing Lou's car and worrying Rick who fears that Debbie is going to find herself in trouble with the police

• After attempting to get over his gambling problem, Brad decides to go away for a while and work on a cruise ship, leaving Lauren confused about their future together

• New French chef, Marcel, begins work at Lassiter's, but is soon revealed as Mark Gottlieb, brother of Stephen, when the two siblings come face-to-face and it becomes obvious that there is some uncomfortable history between them

• Pam and Doug face problems with an unexpected tax audit and realise they could be facing a hefty fine

• Lauren meets Irish jockey Connor Cleary, but is unsure whether to go out with him, as things with Brad were left so unresolved
