No 24 - Kitchen: The Ramsays are eating breakfast and Max is making things tense about Shane missing his training the day before. Neither Danny nor Shane will look at each other. After the boys leave the table, Max makes a comment to Maria that no doubt Danny is to blame for whatever has got the brothers arguing. Maria sarcastically tells Max that of course it is Danny’s fault.

No 24 - Danny's bedroom: As Danny packs his school bag, Shane comes into his room to try and make amends by offering a lift to school. Shane wants to know what his nightmares really are about - Danny tells him they are just dreams.

Gordon Miller's bedsit: Gordon Miller is sleeping when he receives a phone call and sleepily tells the caller to come on over before he gets out of bed.

Shane's car: Julie is applying her make up as Shane drives and Danny questions about when Scott is returning to School. Julie reminds Danny it is because of his stupidity that Scott won’t return in fear of him being laughed at. Shane changes the subject by talking about the weather.

Gordon Miller's bedsit: Gordon loads his handgun.

Outside Pacific Bank: Outside the bank Shane pulls up the car to let Julie out who asks for a lift the following morning. After she’s gone, Shane reveals to Danny her nickname at school was ‘bossy boots’. Julie presses the door buzzer to get someone to let her into the bank.

Gordon Miller's bedsit: Gordon finishes dressing and straightens his tie in the mirror. Then breaths out as he clutches the hand gun.

Outdoor swimming pool: Shane finishes a dive but Max is not impressed with his technique. Danny arrives and Max questions what he’s doing there. Danny replies he’s on lunch break.

Inside Pacific Bank: Marilyn answers a call for Des but speaks to Julie as she’s aware Des is out. Julie reminds Marilyn that Des is at head office for the morning and she should really refer to Des as ‘Mr Clarke’ during working hours.

Outside Pacific Bank: Gordon and his accomplice who is in the driving seat sit and wait outside the bank. Gordon gets out of the car with a briefcase and heads towards the bank.

Outdoor swimming pool: Shane makes another dive into the pool.

Inside Pacific Bank: Julie is at the counter serving and finishing with a customer. She calls 'next please' and Gordon arrives. He places his briefcase on top of the counter and opens it.

Outdoor swimming pool: Shane surfaces from the dive and gets good feedback from Max while Danny watches on.

Outdoor swimming pool: Shane makes another dive.

Inside Pacific Bank: Julie continues to empty her cash into a cash bag while being held at gunpoint.

Outdoor swimming pool: Happy with Shane’s last dive, Max leaves the pool and Shane makes his way over to Danny.

Inside Pacific Bank: By now everyone is aware of the robbery taking place as Julie stuffs more cash into the cash bag. Cashier Marilyn looks on as Julie finishes filling the bag. Under the counter, Julie pushes the alarm button with her knee. Gordon stuffs the cash bag into his case and runs out of the building.

Outside Pacific Bank: Gordon rushes to the awaiting car, throws the case onto the back seat as he gets in and the car speeds off.

Outdoor swimming pool: Danny is desperately trying to get Shane to take him down to the beach in his car but Shane is having none of it.

Getaway car: Gordon and his accomplice drive away from the robbery and congratulate themselves at how easy it is to rob the bank.

Shane's car: Danny is still trying to get Shane to take them off to the beach for the afternoon and reminds his brother that all he ever does is train and gardening and needs to relax. Shane begins to come around to the idea.

Police car/Getaway car: The message comes through about the robbery and the getaway car as it drives past them. The police give chase and Gordon looks back, urging for his driver to go faster.

Shane's car: Shane and Danny are relaxing as Shane takes it easy on his way to the beach. A siren can be heard in the distance.

Police car/Getaway car: The police are still chasing and the getaway causes several cars to swerve at a junction, but still the police car is not far behind.

Shane's car: Shane turns into another street and is face on heading into the path of the two speeding cars. Shane swerves and Danny screams his name as he gets flashes of his nightmare come into his head.

Street: The getaway car is lying on its side. The police cover over a body but it looks as if Shane is still in the car. The police officer is by the side of Danny, who is lying on the roadside having been thrown from the car. The police officer reassures him he’ll be okay but all Danny wants to know is what Shane’s condition is. Danny spots the overturned car and hears Gordon Miller telling the police ‘you killed him.’ – Danny believes its Shane who has died.

No 26 - Lounge: Helen is painting when Julie returns home. Julie reveals to a shocked Helen about the robbery and is clearly shaken by the fact she was threatened with a gun. Julie refuses to see a doctor and Helen tries to give her normal things to think about by sitting her down to read a letter from Grandma Robinson.

No 24 - Lounge: Maria answers the door to be told by the police there has been an accident involving Danny and Shane and they’ve been taken to St. James Hospital. Maria tells the officer she has to call Max.

No 26 - Lounge: Julie is sitting still having to relive the robbery when Scott arrives home from a walk and enquires why she’s home from work. Emotional, Julie reminds him that more to the point why is he wasting his time by staying off school and risk becoming like the other dropouts who end up robbing banks! Scott becomes suspicious and questions where Helen is. Julie breaks down and tells Scott that she’s taken Maria to the hospital as Danny and Shane have been in an accident.

St James' Hospital - waiting area: Helen finishes her calls to try and get hold of Max and rejoins Maria telling her that she’s left messages all over for him. Maria explains that Danny has broken his wrist and got several stitches to his left side but Dr. Lockyer hasn’t confirmed anything about Shane’s condition. Angrily, Maria questions why this happened when Danny should have been at school and who is to blame for doing this to her sons.

Danny's hospital room: Danny rests while Dr. Lockyer checks his pulse. Danny asks after Shane but the doctor tells him there is nothing to report yet. Danny begins to blame himself for forcing Shane to go to the beach but the doctor makes it clear it is not his fault. Danny fears his father will blame him though and declines from seeing either of his parents.

St James' Hospital - waiting area: Max is pacing trying to get his head around how it could have happened when Dr. Lockyer appears. She explains that Shane is in a critical condition, wouldn’t have made the transfer to the city hospital but is in good hands. The news that Danny is okay is a relief to Maria but max immediately starts questioning how Danny came to be mixed up in it all. The doctor won’t allow a visit to see Danny yet. Maria is upset by Max’s clear feelings that he is suspicious of Danny being the cause to all this and Helen offers to leave them alone but both ask her to stay. Max shakes his head fearing the worst for Shane.

Danny's hospital room: Danny receives a visit from Nurse. Stevens who introduces herself as Laurie. Danny asks after Shane but she has nothing to report yet. Laurie questions why would he not want to see his parents. Danny refuses to see them but is convinced to agree to see only Maria.
