Recap
• Maria tells Danny that he deserves to have a great party
• Pete and his mate Duffer arrive at the party
• Duffer offers a joint to Danny
• Scott tells Danny that Pete is dealing all kinds of drugs to the people at the party
• Pete decides to shut Danny up, by spiking his drink with something strong

No 26 - Lounge: Jim is dozing in front of the tv, when Lucy appears. She says that she couldn't sleep as she isn't tired, and she thought that her dad might be lonely here on his own. She suggests that she might get sleepy if he were to read her a story, and she runs off to get a book. When she comes back, she promises to go back to bed as soon as the story is finished and Jim starts to read.

Hall: Danny comments to Scott that the party seems to be under control. Scott isn't completely convinced, and points over to the door where Pete's friend Fang has arrived, with more alcohol. Duffer then pours a Coke for Danny, which Pete spikes and hands to him. Scott is impressed that they're offering something non-alcoholic to Danny, and Pete smiles as Danny starts to drink it.

Plumbing Job: Max is working on some pipes when Terry comes in. He's surprised to hear that she's finished so quickly, but she flatters him, saying that she just watched what he did and copied it. She says that there'd be little point working for someone like him if she didn't learn from his skills. He's impressed with this, and she mentions that they might even get finished early, so Max can go to Danny's party. Max tells her that he'll just be going to the dinner on Saturday, and that he feels sorry for Danny, with Mr Pike watching over the kids at the hall, they're probably having no fun.

Hall: Danny is feeling very unwell, but Scott is more concerned about all of the gatecrashers, who are trashing the hall. He wants to call the police, but Danny tries to stop him, saying that none of his friends will speak to him again. Scott points out that Danny hardly knows any of these people anyway, and tries to go to call his dad instead, but Danny says that he'll never speak to him again if he does.

No 26 - Lounge: Julie arrives home from her dinner, complaining that it's fine to work with people, but another thing entirely to have to socialise with them. She tells Jim about Marilyn's boring brother, who could make boiling an egg look exciting. Jim tells her that Scott's not home yet, but he's glad that he's out enjoying himself after all of that drama with Kim. Julie quietly agrees, but Jim gives her a look and she realises that he's still unimpressed with her for not wanting Kim to move in with them. He says that Kim was alone and scared, and they were in a position to help, and Julie admits that she just didn't think - but Helen's already spoken to her about it. Jim asks where Helen has gone this evening, and Julie thinks that she's next-door, having coffee with Maria. Jim then notices that Basil has peed on the rug, so Julie offers to clean it up and Jim takes the dog out for a walk.

Plumbing Job: Max has had enough and goes to sit down. Terry continues working, just to make a point, until Max tells her to stop too. She sits with him, and he realises that he forget to bring anything to drink. Terry then pulls out a Thermos of coffee and some roast beef sandwiches, telling Max that she does manage to spend some time in the kitchen too.

No 26 - Kitchen/Lounge: Julie is making coffee, and Jim returns with Basil, and with Shane, who was alone next-door. Julie is happy to see him again, and she takes the dog out to the laundry, whilst Jim talks to Shane about his trip. Jim says that he wishes he'd seen more of Australia, and is amused when Shane mentions the two girls he'll be going with. Julie then comes in with the coffee and says that she'd rather see Paris than Darwin. She suggests that Shane should go to Danny's party, with Jim, and pick up the boys, but Shane says that he'd rather just wait.

Hall: The party is getting increasingly out of control, and Danny is looking a lot worse, getting angry with Scott when he tries to help. Duffer and Pete come over and thinks it's very funny - Scott realises that they've given him something, but they won't tell him what. Scott tries to go and get help, but they stop him and point out that anything could happen to Danny while he's gone.

No 26 - Lounge: Helen and Maria arrive back from their course at the Community Justice Centre, and Maria is delighted to see Shane. He says that he came to give Danny his present, and Maria suggests that they go to the party and give it to him there. Shane isn't sure, but Maria and Jim both say that they were invited to the party, so they're sure Danny won't mind. Maria invites Helen and Julie along too, but they're both too tired, so Maria, Shane and Jim leave. Maria hopes that Danny will be surprised - Shane hopes that Danny will be the only one who gets a surprise.

No 28: Daphne quietly comes in the door, but wakes Des - who was sleeping on the couch - when she puts the light on. He asks about her interview, and she lies that it went well, but it finished late so she went out with some friends afterwards. Des then tells her about the call from Frank Barker and she apologises. He wants to know why she lied, but she reminds him that, when she moved in, they agreed that her life was her own business - and besides, she knew that he'd try to talk her out of it. She quickly ends the conversation by going to take a shower.

No 24 - Kitchen: Maria comes in with some sticky tape to finish wrapping Danny's presents. Shane thinks that they should hurry up or the party will be over. Maria says that Danny will be delighted to see Shane, as he's missed having him around. They talk about Max and Maria says that he hasn't shown much interest in Danny's birthday, but admits that he's actually working tonight anyway. Maria asks Shane how long he'll be away for, and then asks him if he's leaving because of her. He says that he just wants to spread his wings and, although he feels like he doesn't know her quite as well as he thought he did, he still loves his mum. She wishes that Max could be so forgiving, but Shane tells her that Max still loves her, he's just been hurt badly and needs time to get over it. They both admit that this has been very tough on Danny too, but they hope that he's enjoyed his party.

Hall: Most of the guests have gone, and Scott is looking for Danny, who then stumbles into the room and collapses on the floor, complaining about the pain he's in. The final few gatecrashers leave, as Scott tries to get help for Danny, who doesn't want to be left alone. Scott tries to get Fang, Duffer and Pete to do something, but they don't care and they leave too. Scott goes back to Danny, who falls unconscious and Scott calls out for someone to help.

No 28 - Dining Table: Daphne returns from her shower, surprised to see that Des has made some food for her. She wonders why he bothered, since he seems to disapprove of her lifestyle so much. He says that he doesn't disapprove, and he's sorry for overreacting, but it hurt his feelings when she didn't trust him enough to tell him the truth. She tells him he's silly, and that she's not ashamed of stripping - Des knew about her job when she moved in. She tells him that she just needed the money, and he realises that it was a one-off, but admits that he struggles to think about her with all those men leering. She reminds him that they met when he was leering at her, and tells him that he's starting to sound more like her husband than her landlord. She tells him that she can take care of herself, but Des says that she's not as tough as she likes to think she is.

Plumbing Job: Max and Terry have finished the job, but he suddenly remembers that he forgot to lag some of the pipes. He's impressed when Terry says that she already did it, and she continues to flatter him - he wonders if she's been talking to Maria. He says that he's been impressed with her work, but he'd still prefer a male apprentice, as plumbing's no job for a girl. They both agree that they can work together though.

No 26 - Lounge: Maria and Shane have returned with Danny's presents, ready to go, but Jim's car has a flat battery. Helen goes to get Julie's keys from her, as Jim takes a phonecall. He talks to the caller, as Helen comes back in with the keys. He then goes over to Maria and explains that the hospital were on the phone with news about Danny...
