Peter [Pete] Sherwin 1985
Siblings: Eddie

The troublesome older brother of Eddie Sherwin, a schoolfriend of Danny Ramsay and Scott Robinson, Pete found an easy target when he heard that Danny had a birthday coming up, and was upset about his mum's plans for a family meal to celebrate. Danny was quick to listen to Pete, feeling that the fact that he'd moved out of home was enough of a sign of his maturity, and went along with a plan in which Pete pretended to be the manager of a local community hall, when Danny's mum Maria called to check. Pete convinced Maria that there would be adult supervision at the hall, and she had nothing to worry about, and Danny was happy to have a party with his friends on the Friday night, then a family meal the following day. However, things at the party quickly spiralled out of control, with Pete and his mate Duffer dealing drugs and, desperate to impress some girls, Danny started drinking more alcohol than he could handle, and smoked a joint.

When a concerned Scott told Danny about all of the drugs at the party, Danny decided to confront Pete and tell him to stop. Pete pretended to listen, before spiking Danny's drink with even stronger drugs, leaving him feeling terrible. Eventually, an ambulance had to be called for Danny, and as Danny recovered in hospital, Scott reluctantly told his father, Jim and Danny's father, Max, that Pete had been the dealer. Scott then agreed to contact Pete, with Max pretending to be a new client - they met back at the hall, where Pete was horrified to realise that he'd been set up. Though Max was keen to beat up Pete an teach him a lesson, he was persuaded that dealers like Pete needed to be off the streets, so they called the police instead.
