Hospital - Waiting Room: Jim, Scott, Shane and Maria are waiting for news, and Maria is blaming herself, as none of this would have happened if she'd been at the party. Scott thinks he's to blame, as he should have stopped the drug dealers sooner, but Jim says they'll talk about it later. Shane wonders why it's all taking so long, and Maria breaks down in tears, but Jim assures her that Danny is strong and he'll be fine. Max then arrives and is shocked to hear that there were drugs involved. He instantly blames Maria and they start to fight about the way Max has been treating Danny. Jim tells them to stop, pointing out that none of this is helping Danny. Maria starts crying again, and Max apologises and says that he'll never forgive himself if anything happens to Danny. Jim then leaves to give Scott a lift home, but Shane wants to stay with his parents.

Hospital - Ward: A doctor and nurse are checking Danny and they think that it's looking positive and that the worst is over.

Hospital - Waiting Room: Shane takes some tea to Max and Maria, again assuring them that Danny will be OK. Max mentions that he hasn't really given Danny a fair go over the years, and that's a difficult thing to admit about himself. Shane tells him that it's not too late, and Max decides that he'll be a better father, come and see him more often and talk to him. The doctor then walks in, and explains that Danny has been very lucky - he's still unconscious but they pumped his stomach and the prognosis is good. He asks if they'd like to see him.

No 26 - Lounge: Jim and Scott arrive home. Scott wants to go straight to bed, but Jim says that he had time to think in the car and now he wants an explanation. Scott just continues to blame himself and Jim wants to know why. Scott explains that he didn't give the drugs to Danny - a load of guys invaded the party and everyone ended up either stoned or drunk. Scott explains about Danny drinking beer and smoking a joint, but he was fine until the other guys spiked his drink. Jim asks Scott why he didn't call the police when he realised that they were dealing drugs, and Scott admits that he didn't want to betray his best mate. He feels terrible and hopes that his loyalty hasn't cost Danny his life.

No 26 - Lounge: Later, Jim and Scott are having a coffee when Max arrives. Max tells them that Danny's going to be fine, but he's come over as he needs to speak to Scott - he wants the name of the person who gave the drugs to Danny. Scott is reluctant to say anything, as he knows that Danny wouldn't want him to, but Jim tells him that his loyalty has now turned to stupidity, and this could happen to someone else if these people aren't dealt with. Scott looks at them, but doesn't say anything.

Hospital - Ward: Shane and Maria are by Danny's bed, when he starts to wake up. He's confused about where he is, and is surprised to see Shane. He asks why he's in so much pain, and Maria explains that they had to pump his stomach to get all of the drugs out. He suddenly remembers the party, and wants to know how Scott is - he can't remember anything about how he ended up in hospital. Danny insists that he wouldn't have knowingly taken drugs, and hopes that everyone isn't mad with him. Maria tells him that they're all just glad he's alright, and that he'll be able to come home in the morning. He apologises for lying to her, but she just kisses him and wishes him a happy birthday.

No 24 - Lounge/Payphone: Scott has agreed to a plan, with Jim and Max, to catch out Pete Sherwin. Jim checks that Scott is happy to do this, but Scott's already dialling the number. Max is impressed that Scott would do this. Pete answers a payphone and Scott tells him who he is, and says that he knows someone who's interested in buying more drugs - he'll offer $500 to start with, and maybe more if he's pleased. Pete agrees to get something to him in the morning, but Max takes the phone and says that he's going interstate and needs the stuff now. Pete reluctantly agrees to meet back at the hall in half an hour. Max puts the phone down, happy that they seem to have caught 'the little scumbag'.

. . .

Hall: Pete walks into the hall, where Scott is waiting in the dark. He points out the buyer, and Max walks forward. Pete wants to see the money, but as he gets closer, he recognises Max as Danny's father. Scott then turns on the lights, and Pete starts to back off, saying that he just gave Danny a joint. Scott then tells him that Danny's in hospital, and Pete tries to leave, but Jim stops him.

No 24 - Lounge: Maria and Shane arrive home, and she sits down, blaming herself for the whole mess as she went out instead of going to Danny's party. Shane says that he should have been there, as he's seen parties like that and could have stopped it from getting out of control. Maria thinks that she should have had the party at home, but Shane reminds her that Danny isn't a kid - Maria admits that she'd just wanted to keep him as her little boy for a bit longer. Shane thinks that Danny is just trying to grow up too quickly, but perhaps he won't be in such a hurry after tonight. Maria believes that Shane is very wise for his age.

. . .

Hall: Pete is trying to claim that it was all just a bit of fun, but Max grabs hold of him and says that Pete's idea of 'fun' left someone in hospital. Pete asks him to stop and says he'll never deal again, but Jim tells Max that beating up Pete won't solve anything - he'll be out on the streets dealing again within a week - but they have evidence and should call the police. Pete says that his dad's going to kill him, and threatens Scott, before Max warns him off.

No 26 - Lounge: The next morning, Scott walks into the room, just as Jim is finishing up a call from the police. Jim explains that they needed some more details, and will be speaking to the school headmaster, as some of the kids at the party were from the school and were doing pretty stupid things. Scott is worried about Danny's social life after all of this, but agrees that he's going to stick by his mate.

No 24 - Lounge: Maria and Shane bring Danny home, and he sits down and says that there are a couple of things he needs to tell them. Danny tells his mum that he lied to her about the party and although he told himself that it wasn't really lying, he's now realised that it was - and even Scott tried to talk him out of it. He also says that he's learnt that some people aren't really his friends, even if he believes that they are. He admits that he was a stupid kid before. Maria is pleased that he's learnt from this, and he says that he's going to go and see Scott, as he was the only person who stood by him.

No 26 - Scott and Paul's Bedroom: Danny is surprised to hear that Scott went to the police about Pete, and is worried that their lives will be hell at school, but Scott explains that he's just spoken to Eddie Sherwin, and he and his dad were fine about it, and think it'll teach Pete a lesson. Danny apologises to Scott for behaving like such a stupid kid over the party, but Scott says that Danny wasn't to know it would all end like this. Danny feels like an idiot for falling for Pete's fake friendship, and Scott says that, if he ever has another stupid idea like the party, to come and talk to him first. Danny agrees, and says that if Scott ever gets mixed up with a pregnant girl again, to come and talk to his 'Uncle Danny' about it.

. . .

No 26 - Lounge: Danny is leaving, when Jim walks in and asks how he is. He thinks that Danny was stupid and selfish, and says that Max and Maria have enough to worry about, without Danny adding to it. He also says that he'd have grounded him for 2 months, before telling Danny to go home and get some rest.

No 24 - Lounge: Maria is cleaning, when Shane comes in and says that he's going to mow the lawns. She realises that he's missed his trip, but he says that he'd decided to stick around anyway, as Maria could use some help with Danny. She then takes a call from the owners of the hall, who want $500 for the damage caused at the party.
