When head teacher Susan Kennedy was arranging a careers talk at the high school, things started badly when civil engineer Brian Harrison took to the floor and managed to bore everyone silly. Fortunately, as Brian was leaving, the day was saved when Susan’s husband, Karl, arrived to give a talk on a career in medicine, something which several of the students found a lot more interesting.
