• Shane jokes with Danny about starting is training with Max could be explosive
• Julie is warned by Helen that she better not spoil Jim’s day out with Anna
• Anna reveals to Jim she is involved with someone in Queensland and there is no future for them
Coffee Shop: Jim admits it never crossed his mind she could be involved with someone and Anna admits it has all happened pretty fast for them. Jim asks her if she loves the guy and Anna admits she is returning home as she owes it to this man and she is scared things would happen if she stays.
No 24 - Laundry/kitchen: Shane and Danny offload their washing to Maria having returned home. Danny asks to speak to Max but is rebuffed until later. Shane tells his brother to pick a better moment with Max.
No 26 - Kitchen: Paul and Scott have returned from the beach for the Sunday roast dinner and Helen marshals the banter between them over Julie’s cooking when Jim arrives home to everyone’s surprise early. Jim seems downcast and Helen ushers him into the lounge away from Julie’s nagging. Julie blames the bad feeling in the house on Anna.

No 24 - Lounge: Only Max seems keen on Anna returning home to rejoin Gino. Max offers to drive her to the airport but Anna tells him Jim is taking her. Maria takes Anna to the kitchen.
No 24 - Kitchen: Anna admits to Maria she feels it is her duty to go back and marry Gino, especially after he has almost finished building their new house. Maria likens it to her reasons for marrying Max and Anna comments that gratitude may not be enough but it is all settled now.
No 26 - Lounge: Julie complains about Jim taking Anna to the airport and Helen reminds her granddaughter that Jim can make his own decisions. After Jim leaves, Julie over reacts and an argument begins between the rest of the family. Julie points out that since Anna arrived the fighting has started in the family. Helen is furious and tells Julie she is the one who can take the blame for the fighting, Anna leaving and Jim being miserable.

Jim's car: While on the way to the airport, Jim pulls over the car to talk. He explains to Anna she’s the first woman he’s been interested in since Anne died and he’s loved her from the first time they met. Jim asks if she feels the same and Anna admits she does. They kiss.
No 26 - Lounge: Scott and Paul are playing video games on the tv. Julie makes a point to Lucy about Anna going being a good thing and Helen warns her to be quiet when Peter Kirk arrives. Scott quips that he hopes Peter is there to take Julie out when Jim arrives back with Anna announcing she has decided to stay. Julie is not happy.

No 24 - Lounge: Maria is upset at Anna leaving because she felt obligated to marry Gino. Max comments she knows all about doing her duty when Jim with Anna walks in. Max questions her coming back but Maria wants to celebrate with Champagne. Jim tells Anna he loves her and that should go out to dinner. Anna thinks they should eat with the rest of his family.

No 26 - Kitchen: Peter tries to get Julie to go out with him but she takes a lot of persuading.

No 24 - Lounge: Shane and Danny return home to the surprise news that Anna is staying. Danny takes the opportunity to ask Max about starting diving training with him. Max agrees to think about it after Shane asks him to.

Swimming pool: Peter serves Julie some champagne after finishing a swim. Peter tells her he wants to marry her and Julie is swept off her feet by his notions of a relationship leading to a romantic engagement and then fairytale wedding. They kiss.

No 26 - Lounge: Lucy is rude to Anna about not being welcome in her home and Helen sends her to her room. Helen explains that Lucy has been spoilt because of her mother dying in childbirth with her. Anna asks about Julie and Helen explains how that once Lucy was born Julie was no longer special and taken a little for granted. It all came to a head when Julie ran away after school and got stuck in a storm drain during a storm. She caught double pneumonia and nearly died. From there on, Julie because very special. Helen reminds Anna that it is no excuse for Julie to behave the way she has and that she’ll have to learn to love Jim without running his life for him.
No 24 - Lounge: Max is looking at buying a caravan for the family. Shane urges his father to take on Danny’s training at the pool and Max agrees but warns if he is late or backchats it is off. Anna gets ready to go over to the Robinsons' for dinner and Danny wants to go too to see Scott. Max tells him no or there will be no diving. Maria is pleased that Max is making an effort with Danny but he doesn’t.
No 26 - Kitchen: Peter and Anna join the Robinsons for dinner and Anna comments on Helen’s ring. Helen explains it was her mother’s. Julie is tense and loses her temper with Scott before Lucy bumps heads with Anna and runs off. Julie storms off to see her sister. Jim gives Anna’s hand a squeeze in support.
No 26 - Lucy's bedroom: Julie takes advantage of being alone with Lucy to scare her sister into believing that the family have to move away to Queensland if Jim and Anna stay together and result in them never seeing Helen again. Julie wishes they could make Anna go away.

No 26 - Hallway/Helen's bedroom: Anna collects her bag from Helen’s room and says goodnight to Helen who is getting Lucy ready for bed. Being left alone, Lucy goes into Helen’s room.
No 26 - Outside porch: Outside, Jim says goodnight to Anna. He apologises for the evening’s events but Anna explains she understands Julie’s protectiveness. Jim tells her he loves her and they kiss goodnight before Ana leaves for next door.

No 26 - Lounge: There is tension in the room between Julie and Jim when Scott and Paul arrive home early from being out with Shane and Danny. Helen mentions she cannot find her ring she left in her room and Lucy immediately accuses Anna, telling everyone she saw her steal it. Julie makes a quip about the fact that Anna did like it but Helen orders her to take Lucy to her room. Paul and Scott can’t believe Lucy’s lying and Jim asks Helen what is happening to their family.
