Recap
• Max plays loud animals noises to annoy Clive
• The Robinsons are woken up by the noise
• Max finds half the street in his kitchen, Shane chases Zoe out of the house, and Danny notices that Clive is only just arriving home

No 28: Zoe runs into the house and hides, and Shane follows her inside, and accuses her of breaking in. She says that she lives there, before realising that she's revealed her hiding place - she insists that she's a friend of Daphne's, though Shane thinks that she's lying. She tells him that he can call the police if he wants, but if he does that he won't get his money back, as she'll be in prison. Zoe promises that she'll return his money within a week, and if she doesn't, he'll know where to find her, as she's living with Des and Daphne now.

No 26: The next morning, Helen, Jim and Paul are having breakfast and talking about the drama in the early hours of the morning. Both Helen and Jim are ready to strangle Max and Danny, and Paul says that he doubts Shane will continue living there if this carries on. Jim agrees, saying that Shane seems to enjoy his independence - Paul sees nothing wrong with that, but Jim accuses him of confusing independence with just doing whatever he thinks will annoy his family. Paul remains silent, but as Helen goes to give Lucy a hurry along, Paul tells her that he won't be home for dinner, as he has a date, though he gives a curt reply when asked who he's having dinner with. He tells Jim that he has a job interview, so Jim offers to drop him off.

Market: Madge is unimpressed with the fruit and vegetables, and tells off one of the stallholders for the high price he's charging for avocados. He says that there are a lot of overheads, but she just walks off, failing to notice a young man who follows her out of the market.

. . .

No 24: Danny asks if Madge has finally gone home, but Max says that she's just gone shopping. Danny admits that he was hoping that the drama with the tape last night might have driven her away, but Max says that it did no good, and that nobody else even seems bothered about Clive. He adds that Clive should get a 9 to 5 job like a normal person, but Danny wonders if maybe Max should just try being nice, and he might find that Clive is an OK guy - Max then loses his temper and shouts that when he's involved in a feud, he at least expects his own son to back him up.

Ramsay Street: Clive is outside collecting his milk and newspaper, when he runs into Danny. Clive mentions all the commotion last night, and Danny explains that his dad has a real problem with noisy neighbours, and once he turns against someone, it's really difficult to change his mind. Clive thinks it sounds a bit weird, but Danny points out that making money from gorillagrams is also a bit unusual. Clive says that he makes good money from it, at which point Danny starts getting interested and Clive suggests that he give it a try. An unimpressed Max, meanwhile, has spotted them chatting.

Street: Madge is walking along the street and realises that she's being followed. She starts to speed up, but the man catches her and tries to grab her bag. She fights back, and then Jim pulls up in his car and scares the mugger away. Jim helps Madge to her feet and tells her that she shouldn't have fought back, but she tells him that she wasn't going to let him get away with her money. He offers to give her a lift home, but she insists that she's fine and that she'll walk.

No 24: Max is about to answer the door, but Zoe bursts in, helps herself to some orange juice and says that she thought his antics the previous night were hilarious. She then asks to see the suit he's wearing to the wedding, as she has to make sure it's suitable. He goes to get it, and she says that it's a bit old, then proceeds to steal his toast before leaving.

H.M. Prison Pentridge: Madge arrives for another visit, but the guard comes outside and tells her that the person she's come to see doesn't want to see her. Madge can't understand it, but is offered no explanation and has to leave.

. . .

No 26: Helen is interested to hear about Paul's interview for a junior executive position, but Jim listens as his son talks, and rolls his eyes. He then suggests the in his day, someone chose a career and stuck to it, and hopes that Paul won't tire of being an executive, the way he tired of the airline. Paul says that he'll never know what he enjoys doing unless he tries different things. He then goes for a lie down, saying that he's got a big night ahead of him, with his date later on.

No 24: Madge is preparing dinner, when Jim calls in to check that she's OK, after her earlier ordeal. She explains that she was going to visit him later to say thanks, and to apologise for rushing off like that - but she had an appointment to keep. Jim says that he knew she'd be alright, as she's tough. She jokes that it's not a very feminine character trait, but Jim says that he just means that she knows her own mind - she points out that Max wouldn't see it like that. Jim helps her with peeling the potatoes and tells her to get an early night - Madge smiles to herself as he leaves.

Daphne's Coffee Shop: Des calls in, just to tells Daphne that he loves her, and they share a kiss, which is quickly broken up when Shane and Danny walk in. Danny is looking for some advice from his brother about girls, and Shane tells Danny that if he really likes the girl, then he shouldn't worry about what anyone else thinks. When Shane starts asking specifics, Danny quickly decides to leave.

. . .

Restaurant: Paul is on his date with Lee Adams, and flirting with him in a none-too-subtle fashion. They talk about her job, and he continues to flirt, but she becomes uncomfortable when he takes hold of her hand. As he tells her about ditching the airline work for a new executive position, she begins to lose interest, and when the waiter brings the menus, Paul tells her to order whatever she wants - caviar, lobster... Lee just rolls her eyes.

No 24: Max is trying to make light of Madge's near mugging, but she says that it was a very unpleasant experience, and that Max wouldn't be laughing if the man had taken her bag, as it had all the housekeeping money in it. Danny notices that Max is in a bad mood with him too, and realises that it's because he was spotted chatting to Clive that morning. Danny decides to leave, and Madge asks if he's going out with 'that Marcia' but Danny says that he isn't.

Restaurant: Paul is having no luck winning over Lee, as they finish the meal with some coffee. Lee's finally had enough and throws down some money and leaves. Another woman has been listening from the next table - she joins Paul and introduces herself as Carol. She says that she's very accommodating, but tells Paul that not everything in life is free. He understands what she's getting at, and is happy to offer her a drink.

No 24: Later that night, Danny, wearing a chicken costume, sneaks into the house but wakes up Max. Danny hides behind the curtains, but Max grabs him - however, in the confusion, Danny manages to sneak away, as Shane and Madge come out and turn on the lights. Danny then appears, in his pyjamas, wondering what all the fuss is about - Max has found a piece of the costume on the floor and is convinced that Clive broke into his house to get back at him.

Ramsay Street: The next morning, Max marches over to number 22 and starts banging on the door, holding up the piece of the costume as Clive answers. Clive just takes it from him and says that one of the animals must be moulting, and says that he'll put a luminous sign outside his house to make sure nobody goes to the Ramsay place again. Max says that he hurt his back, and he has a good mind to call the police, but Clive says that unless anyone actually broke in, there's nothing that the police could do. Max threatens to call the RSPCA, but gets the door slammed in his face.

Ramsay Street: Danny whistles over the fence to Clive, explaining that he couldn't get back into number 22, so he had to go home wearing the chicken costume, and only narrowly avoided being caught by Max. Danny tries to return the costume, but Clive tells him that he was really good and, when he then pays Danny for his work, he decides that he'll take on a few more jobs, but it has to remain a secret.

. . .

No 26: Jim and Helen are having breakfast - Jim thinks that Paul needs to start being more responsible, but Helen says that he's still young and has been through so much, so he deserves a chance to sort out his life. Jim says that he didn't hear Paul come in last night, but then they hear someone coming and assume it's him - they're both shocked as they look up to see Carol, dressed in only a towel, asking where the bathroom is.
