Scott and Charlene's 20th Anniversary
June 23 2007

Next week will see the 20th anniversary of the wedding of Scott Robinson and Charlene Mitchell. Possibly the defining moment of Neighbours' massive popularity in the 80s, the wedding was the culmination of an 18-month romance for the teen couple who, thanks to Charlene's stepfather Harold Bishop and Scott's brother, Paul Robinson, we still hear regular updates about, 20 years later.

To mark the occasion, why not read our new article, Golden Couples: Scott and Charlene, or look back at some of the couple's highlights in our Magic Moments section - the first time they met on-screen, their wedding and the fifties night where they reunited after their problems with Steve Fisher.

Also, read our feature, The Wedding, which marked 15 years since the episode aired in the UK, and features the thoughts of Ray Kolle, who was script supervisor at the time.

AWGIEs Nomination
June 23 2007

Episode 5175 of Neighbours, Cop Ya, written by David Hannam, has been nominated in the Television Serial category of the 2007 AWGIES, awards which are judged by the Australian Writers' Guild and are awarded for the original script, rather than what we see on screen as a finished product.

Also nominated are episodes 4212 and 4227 of Home and Away, written by Sam Meikle and Fiona Kelly respectively.

Neighbours previously won this award for episode 4293 (Dee's Death) in 2004 and episode 3740 (Madge's Death) in 2001, both written by John Hanlon.

This year's results will be announced on 31st August.
